Oh là là! Bonjour, mon petit Paris! 🇫🇷 It's your favourite pink tutu wearing ballerina, Emma, writing to you live from the City of Lights, where the Seine sparkles, the pastries are divine, and my tutu is getting a lot of attention. This is post #213 for my Paris blog, and I'm so excited to share my Parisian adventures with you all.
This week, I travelled in style, naturally. As a dedicated ballet enthusiast, my travel style is all about comfort and glamour. The Eurostar sped me across the Channel, and believe me, darling, my tutu wasn't the only thing attracting glances! I arrived in the Gare du Nord feeling like I'd just stepped into a classic Parisian film. The scent of freshly baked bread and the clatter of Parisian life filled the air. It was truly magical!
First stop: A ballet classic! I can't travel to Paris without experiencing some world-class ballet. This evening, I'm heading to the Palais Garnier to watch "Swan Lake". My dear friends, I am practically giddy with anticipation! This iconic masterpiece never fails to amaze me with its ethereal beauty, captivating storytelling, and those breathtaking swan costumes. Just imagining myself onstage with those exquisite dancers makes me want to twirl. And let's be honest, I will probably end up twirling at some point!
Pink Tutu Power: A little bit of fashion in Paris As a true devotee of pink and all things tutus, my Parisian adventure wouldn't be complete without some chic shopping! I'm dying to find a fabulous little boutique where I can snag the perfect pink dress for my soirée tonight. (A pink tutu will naturally be worn underneath, darling! Because… pink tutus). My search will take me through the elegant boulevards, maybe past the iconic Eiffel Tower for a photo op. The Eiffel Tower… just like Cinderella's fairy godmother, it's always there to help a girl find her happily ever after. (And in my case, that means a truly perfect pink dress!)
Street-side Performance Inspiration: But let's not forget about the magic of Parisian street performance! I simply adore how life spills out onto the cobbled streets. Today, I encountered a talented violinist playing beneath the awning of a bustling café. His melodies filled the air, giving the café a whimsical air. I felt like I was watching a scene from "Amélie", except with a more flamboyant pink tutu thrown in, naturally! I might even pull out my little ballet shoes and try a few impromptu turns (with the obligatory pirouette, of course!).
Foodie Adventures: Oh là là! The Pastries!! The streets are simply teeming with irresistible treats, pastries in particular! This weekend, I will definitely indulge in a creamy croissant (for breakfast of course!). Followed by an exquisitely layered macaron (for the afternoon, naturally). Paris is the capital of pastries! My waistline might not be thanking me, but my tastebuds certainly will! And besides, I burn all the calories twirling.
Back to the Ballet Studio! But don’t worry, darling, I am no slacker when it comes to my ballet! On Monday, I have a delightful class at one of Paris' oldest ballet studios. I can’t wait to discover how Parisian ballet classes differ from the studios I frequent in Derbyshire. Of course, my tutu will be joining me for this cultural experience!
This Week's "Pink Tutu of the Week": A Ballerina's Parisian dream. I can’t leave Paris without picking up the perfect outfit for a Parisian evening! I will be shopping, with a tutu tucked inside my bag, for that stunning pink Parisian number I'm envisioning. My dream is a full-length gown made of the most exquisite, flowy, blush-pink silk with a touch of sparkly detail. It must have the Parisian charm. That delicate touch of Parisian chic that elevates a look from everyday to haute couture! I can see it now: Me, gracefully swirling around the City of Lights, my pink tutu perfectly blending with my gown!

I have so much planned for this Parisian weekend: from taking in iconic Parisian landmarks, enjoying street performances to immersing myself in the enchanting world of Paris' ballet scene!
