#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 20th March 2004 - Bonjour, Paris! 💖

Bonjour, darlings! It's Emma here, back from another fabulous adventure and ready to share it all with you! Today’s blog is extra special, as we’re taking a little trip to Paris – the city of love, croissants, and, of course, ballet!

Post 221 – This week’s Pink Tutu Adventures are all about Paris!

As always, my love of travel knows no bounds! And, when you're as passionate about dance and fashion as I am, there's no better place to be than Paris. I felt the Parisian magic as I arrived at Gare du Nord on the Eurostar. What a stunning building! I must have taken a hundred photos! The energy buzzing around the station was infectious – so full of life and excitement. It's truly like stepping into a different world.

The Paris Metro: Ballet Shoes in the City of Lights

My first mission in Paris, after, of course, finding a little corner café to savour a perfect macaron and a coffee, was to explore the Metro. I was lucky enough to find a train with pink seating, a serendipitous colour combo I couldn't resist snapping. It seemed fitting to put my pink ballet shoes on full display – you can never be too dramatic on the Metro! I made a beeline for the Champs-Élysées. It’s like something straight out of a film - wide avenues lined with elegant shops, oh-so-French cafes, and buzzing with people. The atmosphere was so alive!

French Fashion Flair: Paris Shopping Splurge!

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without some shopping therapy! The city is a treasure trove of beautiful clothes and accessories. I'm smitten with everything – the Parisian fashion is chic, playful, and oozes that "je ne sais quoi." I picked up a couple of exquisite vintage pieces: a flowy silk dress that will be perfect for a summer evening in Derbyshire and a gorgeous embroidered blouse – you know I had to grab a bit of Parisian flair for my wardrobe.

Opera Garnier: The Grand Dame of Ballet

Later that day, I found myself mesmerized by the magnificent Opera Garnier. Standing on that iconic marble staircase, my heart simply fluttered with joy. I felt so small, but at the same time so empowered! It was a ballet performance like no other – a feast for the senses! The costumes were out of this world, the dancers' movements were fluid and powerful, and the whole experience left me completely enchanted. I even got to witness the final ballet for "Sleeping Beauty," it was breathtaking, and I'm still recovering from the pure artistry I experienced!

The Art of Parisian Dining: From Street Food to Fine Dining

One of the highlights of the trip was undoubtedly a little crêpe I found tucked away down a narrow street. This little crêpe stand had queues out the door but it was so worth it. The sweetness, the textures and the scent of fresh, sweet crepe... it’s a must try if you’re ever in Paris! It's moments like these that I really savour – exploring local food spots, meeting the locals, and just soaking in the city's ambiance. It's about finding the unexpected little gems, whether it's a secret alleyway or a hidden culinary haven!

Pink Tutus in Paris: Making a Statement

Of course, I made sure to flaunt my signature pink tutus throughout my Paris adventures. I'm on a mission to spread the tutu love around the globe! It's more than just a fashion statement; it's a symbol of joy, femininity, and freedom. And there's no place better to express these qualities than in the City of Lights. I found a fantastic local market where I discovered the most amazing handmade accessories! I knew I had to incorporate it into a tutu-inspired look for tomorrow, a visit to the Eiffel Tower is a must! I am certain that wearing my pink tutu and taking photos in front of such a romantic and beautiful sight is guaranteed to get me featured in the next Pink Tutu Instagram story.

Evening Entertainment: Parisian Theatre Delights

My Parisian journey wouldn't be complete without indulging in the Parisian theatre scene! I chose to spend my evening with an iconic performance at the "Theatre du Châtelet". I felt so transported to another time, sitting in those velvety plush seats, the smell of fresh popcorn mingling with the excited chatter. This incredible theatre production I saw brought out every emotion – laughter, sadness, awe, and joy – all rolled into one beautiful package.

Daydreams of Paris and Beyond

The magic of Paris is just undeniable. It's a city that stirs my creativity, fills my spirit with adventure, and leaves me longing for more. This time, I made sure to grab myself the most delightful Parisian themed souvenirs I could find! There’s a whole story waiting for me back in my hometown of Derbyshire. It’s exciting to plan my next blog post, which I can’t wait to start writing once I get home. The thought of telling my friends and readers all about my adventure makes my heart flutter with joy. I'm back home soon, but until then, I'll keep these memories close to my heart. I can’t wait to tell you all about what happened during this incredible journey – stay tuned for more #PinkTutuBlogParis next week!
