#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 239: Ooh la la, Paris!

Bonjour, mes chéries!

Well, here I am, in the City of Lights! Paris, my beloved, you've captured my heart once again. I'm whisking you all away to this romantic and elegant metropolis, so sit back, grab a croissant (and perhaps a glass of champagne – I know I will!) and let me take you on a little tour of my Parisian adventures.

This is the 24th of July 2004 and oh my word, what a day! As I write this, the sun is just starting to dip behind the Eiffel Tower, casting a magical golden glow over the city. But let me tell you all about it!

Travel in style! Paris by Eurostar - It's a ballet in itself

I boarded the Eurostar in Derbyshire, a beautiful pink tulle cape draped elegantly over my favourite pink tutu. It felt a little extra, I admit, but then again, who says you can’t wear a tutu on a train? My fellow passengers certainly weren't complaining - there was quite a bit of smiling and even a few envious glances my way. Honestly, you’ve never travelled in such style – imagine gliding through the countryside, tutu twirling with the wind – truly an elegant journey to the heart of Paris.

A Pink Tutu Welcome! The Magic Begins at the Gare du Nord.

Stepping off the train, the station itself felt like a glamorous movie set. You’ve got to love that Parisian charm! The scent of fresh croissants, a bustling crowd and the most amazing floral display. You can practically smell the fashion! It was clear I was in the perfect place for some serious shopping later.

My little flat in the Marais is adorable – charming, cozy and oh, the Parisian balcony overlooking the cobbled streets - absolutely divine! I’ve already spent an hour window-shopping and daydreaming of a vintage Parisienne wardrobe – you just know there will be some treasures in the flea markets for me!

Today's Agenda: A Tutu and an Afternoon of Elegance

Today, I wanted a bit of Paris that was just a bit … me. So I had a delicious and decadent lunch in a charming little bistro, enjoying a slice of decadent chocolate cake, a perfectly brewed French coffee and watching the Parisian life swirl around me.

Now I'm heading towards Le Palais Garnier – home to the glorious Paris Opera. Yes, I’m going to a ballet performance, a must for any ballerina! After a day of chic Parisian explorations, I have chosen a delightful production – it's one I haven't seen before – 'Giselle' a truly romantic and ethereal ballet about a peasant girl turned vengeful spirit. How perfect is that? I am feeling a little bit romantic, and this tutu, my lovelies, just needs to be swirled under the shimmering chandeliers of the Opera house!

*Evening Delight: Lights, Music, Tutu, Action! *

So, I’m just back from the opera, and oh my, it was magical. My heart is still swirling with emotion! The grandeur of the theatre, the talent of the dancers, and of course, the dramatic story and haunting music... every single detail had me enraptured! I could practically hear my pink tutu swishing with every leap and twirl – a silent dance in sympathy! Oh, it was truly exquisite and, frankly, a bit magical.

Tomorrow’s Paris Adventures

Tomorrow will be another day of fashion fun and adventures – and perhaps, just perhaps, a picnic under the Eiffel Tower! My pink tutu is definitely ready for another day of explorations. You see, my mission in Paris is simple: find the perfect Parisian outfit for my blog photos, maybe a few new additions to my ballerina wardrobe, enjoy some delightful Parisian cafes and pastries, soak up the atmosphere and let my creative spirit bloom!

I'm so excited to share all the wonders of Paris with you over the next week! It's going to be full of fashion, Parisian style and perhaps even a little romance. Now, I'm off to catch the lights sparkling on the Seine. Until next week, cherish your dreams, live life in pink, and be sure to “dance with your heart!”

A bientôt, my lovely Pink Tutu fans!
