This week has been a flurry of frills, tutus, and magnifique moments – it's just what my inner ballerina craves!
Now, I know what you're thinking: how does a girl from Derbyshire manage to fund trips to Paris? Well, darling, it all comes down to my secret weapon – ballet! Each performance, each pirouette, takes me one step closer to achieving my ultimate dream – a trip to a new city, complete with a pink tutu, of course! And Paris, oh Paris, you were truly a dream come true.
The EuroStar Adventure
My journey began in London, aboard the luxurious Eurostar. Imagine, a high-speed train whizzing through the English countryside, with me comfortably nestled amongst a symphony of colours: a pale pink cashmere scarf, a crisp white blouse, and, yes, you guessed it – my signature pink tutu. The windows blurred past in a vibrant streak of green and gold, leaving me with an exciting anticipation of the city ahead.
The Magic of Parisian Ballet
One of the first things I did upon arrival was to head straight to the Palais Garnier for a show – a must for any ballet lover! It was a spectacle unlike any I had seen before: ornate architecture, a hushed air of anticipation, and the stage alight with grace and power. The ballet dancers were so exquisite, I found myself transfixed. It felt like magic – their movements so fluid, their expressions so poignant. This ballet brought tears to my eyes and left my soul dancing in the aisles.

After the ballet, it was time to unleash my inner shopaholic! Paris, my darlings, is a veritable heaven for lovers of all things chic. I felt like a little girl in a candy store, surrounded by gorgeous dresses, divine shoes, and those fabulous, Parisian accessories that I just adore. I swear, the city's atmosphere positively vibrates with fashion and beauty.

On Friday, the excitement wasn't over. After dinner at a little bistro filled with chatter and the aroma of fresh croissants, I decided to embrace the Parisian nightlife. Imagine strolling along the cobbled streets, the city glittering beneath the night sky, each building bathed in golden light, a chorus of laughter and music floating in the air. I ended up at a tiny cabaret tucked away in a backstreet, a haven for performers with big hearts and even bigger talents.
A Pink Tutu Revelation
There, in that charming little cabaret, I met someone rather special - a local artist who happened to love ballet as much as I do! As we talked about everything from the artistry of the tutus to the magic of a simple plie, she revealed something that truly surprised me:
“You know, Paris is full of little, hidden wonders, just like your pink tutu,” she said, her eyes twinkling with warmth. “Each one holds a unique story and brings joy to those who seek it. “
It struck me then – that's what I do. I travel the world, experiencing everything with a pink tutu in tow, bringing a bit of joy and whimsy wherever I go. And in doing so, I connect with people – like this beautiful Parisian artist - sharing our love of dance, music, art, and, of course, all things pink.
Today's Adventures
Now, let me fill you in on what I'm planning today – a real Parisian adventure! First up, a trip to the famous Louvre museum to take in some breathtaking art. Later, I'm hopping on a carriage pulled by beautiful horses and heading through the Tuileries Garden – so picture perfect!
The streets of Paris are my catwalk today! Of course, I'm rocking a stunning pink outfit – it's a vibrant chiffon dress, a pale pink beret, and my beloved pink tulle skirt. And don't forget, I'll be wearing my signature pink tutu with a playful butterfly motif – I couldn't leave it behind!
