Pink Tutu Blog Paris: #301 – Bonjour from the City of Lights! ✨💖

Hello my darlings! It’s Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu aficionado, writing to you from the most fabulous city in the world – Paris! Ooh la la!

I've finally made it! After weeks of anticipation, and a whirlwind journey on the EuroStar that made me feel like I was stepping into a storybook, I’m in the city that has been the centre of my dreams since I was a little girl twirling in my first pink tutu. This trip is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and – let’s be honest – sheer, blissful daydreaming. Every ballet performance, every class, every perfectly executed pirouette, has brought me one step closer to this moment! And now, here I am, in Paris!

It’s the first day of October and the weather is perfect - a crisp, sunny autumn day, the kind of weather that makes you want to swirl your tutu in the wind and let it catch every single golden ray of sunshine. There’s a magical feeling in the air here, the kind of excitement you only find in a place filled with history, artistry, and the aroma of freshly baked pastries! (Did I mention that I have already eaten a pain au chocolat?! And let me tell you, it was heaven in every single bite!)

Today’s Itinerary:
* A Tour of Iconic Paris: After I woke up in my darling little hotel room (complete with a gorgeous Parisian balcony!), I did what any self-respecting Pink Tutu princess would do - put on my most exquisite tulle and set off to explore! We started with a leisurely stroll down the Champs-Élysées – a magnificent boulevard filled with stunning architecture, designer boutiques, and, of course, street performers, some of whom, let’s just say, added a touch of unexpected entertainment to my day!

  • A Step Back in Time at the Louvre: Of course, a visit to Paris isn't complete without a stop at the Louvre! It was absolutely stunning – so grand and majestic, filled with beautiful sculptures and breathtaking paintings. I spent an afternoon wandering through its incredible halls, feeling a wave of awe every time I caught a glimpse of a masterpiece. It really is something special.

  • Romance in the Air at Notre Dame: This afternoon, we ventured towards Notre Dame Cathedral, which truly captivated me with its intricate beauty. I stood there for a long time, simply gazing up at its intricate details, trying to absorb all of its history and charm. It was the perfect spot for a Parisian moment of contemplation, punctuated by a joyful Parisian street performance – a spontaneous dance routine from a group of vibrant ballet students. You could feel the passion in every move! (They reminded me a bit of my favourite ballet teacher, Miss O’Brien, in her heyday. But don't tell her I said that - she's still got it, the fierce one!)

  • Parisian Evening Delights: For dinner, we indulged in some of the most incredible French cuisine, in the quaintest bistro I’ve ever seen. It was all about freshly made, wholesome, simple, delicious French food – my kind of cuisine! Afterwards, we wandered through the enchanting streets of Montmartre, the charming artist’s district. The night air was filled with the sounds of music, laughter, and the aroma of coffee - it was a delightful symphony!

The Fashion Scene: I'm going to dedicate a whole blog post to this! It’s no surprise, given my passion for all things pink and fluffy, that Paris’s fashion scene has captivated my heart. Everything from the way women style their jackets, to their effortlessly chic hairstyles, to the most exquisite boutique windows I've ever seen - it’s a masterclass in feminine style and flair!

What's next? Well, tomorrow promises a whirlwind of adventure - a day of discovery at the Musée d’Orsay and a fabulous afternoon performance by the Paris Opera Ballet! And then… then comes the shopping! Don't worry, I'll keep you posted!

Until next week, my darlings, stay beautiful and don't forget to live life in pink, one twirl at a time! 💕🩰

Love always,

Emma
