Pink Tutu Blog - Paris #348: Ooh La La, C'est Magnifique!

Bonjour, mes amies!

It's Emma, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, back from a whirlwind week in the City of Lights - Paris, darling! This week's post is a bit of a special one, because, as you know, I love a good story, and this one involves not one but TWO adorable tutus! You can probably guess already, but it all began in the EuroStar station - the most magnificent train station in the world, I tell you.

Stepping out of the train into Gare du Nord felt like entering a grand fairytale. Paris, in all its grandeur, welcomed me with open arms, as though it had been expecting my arrival all along. My excitement was at a fever pitch - and then I spotted them. A young couple with two gorgeous girls, their hair in perfect pigtails, each sporting the most divine pink tutus! My heart melted instantly - the cutest tutus I had ever seen, and on the cutest little ballerinas, too. I just had to share my love for tutus with them! I struck up a conversation, and let me tell you, their smiles were as bright as the Eiffel Tower at night.

Now, who doesn't love a bit of Parisian magic, especially when it comes with a side of pink tutus? I simply had to celebrate my arrival with a touch of Parisian sparkle. What better place than the Galeries Lafayette department store, the epitome of chic and glamour? I was practically waltzing down the grand staircase, my pink tutu billowing behind me.

But let's be real, darling, there's more to Paris than just fashion (although it is a large part of the appeal, I'll admit). I was determined to embrace the Parisian spirit, the love for the arts. So, off I went to the Opéra Garnier for a dazzling performance of 'La Bayadère.' The entire evening was just pure enchantment - the beautiful costumes, the masterful choreography, the emotional depth of the story. My heart was pounding in my chest with pure, raw, artistic excitement! The dancers moved with such grace, such effortless precision, it was truly inspiring.

The following day, my Parisian adventure continued at the Louvre. I knew I had to see the Mona Lisa, and while the crowds were substantial, I found the anticipation worth every single minute of waiting. She's an iconic painting for a reason, you know! That little smile, those haunting eyes - it really does capture your attention, wouldn't you agree?

Now, my Parisian adventure wasn't just about the grand museums and shows, oh no, it was also about discovering the little gems tucked away in hidden corners. A lovely vintage clothing shop in the Marais district, a quaint patisserie where I devoured a croissant as perfect as the Eiffel Tower, a peaceful little park by the Seine. The simple pleasures, the authentic Parisian charm - it really gets under your skin and makes you want to stay forever.

It wouldn't be a true Paris adventure without a ride through the streets in a vintage cab, my tutu billowing in the gentle breeze as the streets flew by. Every turn was an adventure, every corner a new discovery, and every street an invitation to immerse myself in Parisian magic.

I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my week in Paris than at a traditional Parisian dinner - a leisurely affair filled with good company, delicious food, and laughter echoing through the quaint bistro. Oh, darling, let me tell you about the bread! The most incredible bread, crusty and warm and begging to be devoured with every mouthful.

Paris, you left an indelible mark on my heart. I'm already planning my next visit, my dear friends. After all, a girl's got to get her fix of Parisian chic, magical tutus, and enchanting ballets, don't you think?

So, until next time, darling, I leave you with this little piece of Parisian wisdom: never be afraid to embrace your inner ballerina, wear a pink tutu with confidence, and let your love for the beautiful things in life shine brightly.

Au revoir, mes chères! And, of course, always remember to twirl!

Love,

Emma

  • Did you know...? International Dog Day was also on the 26th of August. It seems to me that the month of August is the best month to be a horse or a dog! 🐶🐴
