Pink Tutu Blog: Paris Edition - Post 372 🩰✨

Bonjour, mon chéri(es)!

It's your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger Emma, and I'm back from a whirlwind trip to Paris! The city of lights is always a delight, and this visit was no exception. Buckle up, darlings, because this post is going to be a pink-tinted fairytale - just the way I like it!

It's no secret that Paris holds a special place in my heart. There's something so utterly enchanting about the city. The cobbled streets, the charming cafes, the beautiful architecture - it's like stepping into a dream!

This time around, I made the journey via EuroStar, which, for you travel buffs out there, is an absolute dream! A comfy seat, lots of space, a view of the countryside, and best of all - delicious food! Talk about luxurious travelling - I felt like a princess on the way to my palace!

This trip, like all of my adventures, was generously funded by the fruits of my labour - my captivating ballet performances. The audience always adores the pink tutu, and let me tell you, I certainly don't shy away from dazzling them! This time around, my Parisian audiences were particularly enthralled, so the budget was just a little bit larger for this trip - thank you to my lovely patrons!

But before we dive into the delights of my Parisian escapade, let's talk about the date - Saturday, February 10th, 2007. Why? Because this is the day that little piece of Parisian magic came to life for me! What did I get up to you ask? Well, darlings, let me tell you!

A Ballet Dream

My first order of business was a trip to the Palais Garnier, home to the legendary Paris Opera. I've been to the Garnier before, and let me tell you, the atmosphere never fails to enchant me. Imagine gilded balconies, plush red velvet seating, intricate chandeliers... chef's kiss! It's straight out of a storybook, darling.

For my treat this time, I decided to see a performance of Tchaikovsky’s "Swan Lake". I am so obsessed with ballet and Swan Lake is definitely one of my favourite productions - the music, the costumes, the choreography… absolutely breathtaking!

I was so mesmerised by the dancers. The prima ballerina, with her graceful movements and ethereal beauty, captivated the audience, just like I hope to do in my own performances. This performance sparked such inspiration within me. I just couldn't wait to get to class to put into practice some of the moves I witnessed!

The best part of this visit was meeting *Marie, one of the youngest dancers in the Paris Opera Ballet. Marie is my inspiration - she embodies everything that a young ballerina dreams of being. Graceful, kind, a little mischievous and full of pure passion for her art.

We had the most lovely afternoon together, chatting about all things ballet and dreaming of future grand jetés on world-famous stages!

Pink in Paris

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without some major fashion moments, darling! You all know I have a thing for pink tutus and Paris has been the perfect place to find new and fabulous additions to my collection.

The iconic Galeries Lafayette, where fashion and elegance dance together, was my first stop! It's just overflowing with gorgeous designs. And don’t even get me started on the accessories - I’ve been hunting for the perfect pair of pink feather boas for weeks now! I can't wait to strut in them! (Did I mention I've also purchased the most adorable pink feather handbag to match? giggles ) It was the perfect way to make a pink statement in the City of Lights, even after the sun goes down.

One of my biggest purchases was a beautiful satin ballerina dress. It’s going to look amazing on stage - the kind of outfit that brings tears to the audience’s eyes (of joy, darling!). My dear readers, if you haven’t guessed already - pink is a must when you’re visiting the Parisian fashion scene. I spotted an amazing pair of pink platform shoes, with pink glittery straps… talk about perfect! I just can't get enough! Paris definitely lives up to its reputation for fashion!

Delicious Delights & Parisian Vibes

But it wasn't all tutus and haute couture, darling. I also enjoyed exploring the city, taking in all the charming little cafes and trying the most delicious food! I had a delightful croissant with the most perfect café au lait for breakfast at a charming little café called "La Petite Boulangerie" - just like those charming cafés you see in movies, darling!

I took a scenic tour along the Seine River, which I was so excited about! The city is simply breathtaking! We floated past all the famous landmarks: the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Louvre. Dreamy! I snapped a few photos of course - for you guys!

But what's even better than seeing all the iconic Parisian landmarks?

A trip to the stables and getting to see the most gorgeous horses! Riding along the boulevards of Paris felt like I was in a vintage French film. Oh, I just had to share that experience with all of you. I hope one day I'll be able to find a horse carriage to go on all of my adventures! That's going on my bucket list for sure!

Pink Tutu Dream - Part II

This trip to Paris, darling, has just further confirmed one thing for me: the world needs more pink tutus! We all need a little more sparkle in our lives, a little more fun, a little more grace. So spread the word, darlings! Put on a pink tutu, dance in the streets, and embrace the world with a little bit of pink-tinted joy!

Keep an eye out for my next blog post from Derbyshire, where I will be working on my new performance routine - it’s a top secret ballet act involving pink tutus and unicorns (it's magical!).

Stay pink, stay fabulous, and remember, my dearest readers, you’re all beautiful!

Au revoir!

Love,

Emma 💖
