#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #381)

Hello, my lovely tutu-loving darlings! 🩰✨

This weekend, your favourite pink-obsessed ballerina is shimmying and twirling through the cobbled streets of Paris, and it’s simply divine! As usual, I took the Eurostar, a train that’s as sleek and stylish as a ballet dancer's leotard. I adore travelling by train - the rhythmic clatter of the tracks, the quiet focus of reading a good book, the dreamy view of the countryside whizzing past... it all evokes a magical atmosphere, much like stepping onto the stage at the Royal Opera House!

This trip is fuelled by a couple of exciting ballet performances at the Palais Garnier, a jewel of Parisian architecture. I can't wait to be swept away by the elegance and artistry of the French dancers. There's just something magical about a Parisian theatre, you know? The ornate decorations, the rich velvet seating, the soft lighting…it all feels so luxurious!

Now, back to the real reason we're in the City of Lights – SHOPPING! I mean, wouldn’t it be a crime to come to Paris without stocking up on some fabulous Parisian fashion? It's like a magical world where the streets are lined with exquisitely designed shoes, chic dresses, and dreamy scarves – all waiting to be tucked away in my suitcase and whisked back to Derbyshire. Imagine, all the envy I’ll generate as I strut through my local ballet studio in my new Parisian finds!

Speaking of ballet, the beauty of the city really resonates with my ballerina heart. Every cobblestone street feels like a stage, with each corner revealing a new masterpiece – a beautiful archway, a charming café, a graceful sculpture. Honestly, it's enough to make a ballerina do a spontaneous fouetté on the pavement!

But let's not forget the true highlight of Paris: its culinary scene! After a day of shopping and ballet adventures, there's nothing more delightful than settling into a quaint Parisian bistro with a glass of delicious wine and a plate of freshly made croissants. This afternoon, I even enjoyed the most exquisite afternoon tea in a beautiful salon overlooking the Eiffel Tower - truly Parisian!

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Louvre to admire the Mona Lisa, a truly timeless piece of art. I’m always mesmerized by her enigmatic smile – a little bit like my own mischievous twinkle when I'm plotting my next tutu-inspired look!

Today, Saturday, April 14th, Paris is awash in a vibrant springtime energy. The sun is shining, the trees are blossoming, and the Parisian cafes are overflowing with laughter. You can truly feel the city waking up after the long winter – and so is my shopping spree! I'm planning to explore some hidden Parisian boutiques and uncover unique treasures to add to my growing collection of tutus. I've already spotted a darling vintage tutu shop on the Left Bank that I’m determined to visit!

My goal is simple – I want to share the magic of ballet, the wonder of travelling, the thrill of exploring, and of course, the glorious delight of a good, pink tutu. And let's face it, my dear friends, a trip to Paris is always a wonderful adventure to be shared – so let’s do just that!

Now, I'm off to sample a Parisian macaron, and to enjoy a little street performance by the Seine – where else would I find a tutu-wearing mime? Be sure to follow along on my adventures next week as I share my Parisian discoveries with you! Until then, keep twirling, my loves!

Lots of love and happy twirling,

Emma x
