Pink Tutu Blog: Paris – Post 395 🩰💖🗼

Bonjour mes amies! It’s Emma, and it’s Saturday, the day I get to share my latest adventures with you all, this week from the glorious city of Paris! I finally took the plunge and booked my EuroStar ticket to Paris, I’m so excited to be here, oh la la!

As many of you know, my goal in life is to spread the joy of pink tutus far and wide, and there’s no better place to do that than the fashion capital of the world! The cobbled streets and quaint boutiques of Paris just call out for a splash of tulle. So, naturally, my suitcase was overflowing with a delightful selection of my most dazzling tutus. From a classic pink and white number perfect for strolling the Champs-Élysées, to a glittering sequined dream for a night at the opera, I had an ensemble for every Parisian occasion.

Paris was already swirling with excitement when I arrived on Thursday. I'd been fortunate enough to get tickets for the world-famous Ballet Opera de Paris performance of La Bayadere. Oh, my dears, it was spectacular! Every movement was exquisite, every costume breathtakingly detailed, the sheer talent was overwhelming! I was in awe the whole performance. It was simply incredible and inspiring to see the dancers and choreographers, oh the passion, grace, and artistry! They truly transported me to another world, a world I desperately wanted to be a part of!

Speaking of ballet, it was on the agenda on Friday, for a class in the beautiful studio space overlooking the Seine. My legs are screaming at me as I write this but oh it was so worth it! The studio is filled with sunlight and a perfect haven for pirouettes and plies, you could see why many of the world’s famous dancers trained in this very spot! It’s moments like these, that I truly appreciate all the hours I spend perfecting my pirouette and practicing my fifth port de bras!

Today is all about soaking in the beauty of the city. We're wandering through the quaint streets of the Latin Quarter, exploring bookstores bursting with colourful stories, stopping at little cafes for delicate macarons (of course, pink!), and marveling at the Notre Dame Cathedral. It’s truly a magical experience that leaves me completely mesmerized by the charm of Paris, I could spend hours wandering around, seeing all the sights, especially the street performers in their delightful tutus, well, some have attempted a ballerina tutu. 😉

My pink tutu was even spotted in the fashion week shows today. The designers here truly understand the beauty of a touch of tulle! Several models strutted the runway wearing fabulous, playful tutu-inspired outfits, it really is the new 'must-have' piece. Oh, if only everyone would embrace the joy and confidence a pink tutu brings! I can already imagine the city of lights bursting with colour and joy, a true fashion fairytale!

But Paris isn't all about tutus and shopping, although there is a certain allure to the gorgeous shop fronts and beautifully crafted designs! Oh, and the pink shoes!! I have managed to spend a little, you might call it an investment in the pink tutu world. It's a city of history, of love, and of undeniable charm. The Seine flows through the heart of it all, reflecting the beauty of the Eiffel Tower in its glistening waters. We took a beautiful horse-drawn carriage ride last night along the Seine, and it felt like a fairy tale scene!

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a trip to the iconic Louvre Museum. Oh my, what a palace! It is almost overwhelming! I could get lost in it forever, each hall leading to another exquisite collection of artwork. It truly felt like being in an old classic ballet movie! And you can be sure I’m on the lookout for a little pink ballerina inspiration while I’m in the museum, maybe there is some secret tutu artwork hiding in the halls of the museum, if you have any tips, do let me know!

Don't worry, I’ll be sure to share plenty of pink tutu inspired outfits throughout the week – there are just so many incredible outfits for the various different moments in my Parisian day! From the perfect cafe outfit, complete with a delightful pink tutu with a whimsical design and an oversized beret (my favourite fashion statement in Paris, of course) to a dramatic evening gown with a long, sweeping pink tulle skirt and a statement jewel. Oh la la! Paris truly is the perfect playground for my tutus!

Speaking of a magical day, I have another delightful treat planned for tonight, a delightful show at the Moulin Rouge! I just know I will love this decadent Parisian spectacle of sequins, feathers, and all that sparkle! You can bet there will be photos and a blog post on all the glorious details to share next week.

It's an exciting journey through fashion and the arts, all thanks to my dance performances. It’s incredible to see how ballet can take me to amazing places! I know that it isn't easy to be a dancer and travel around the world, it takes determination and dedication, which I have! So my dear readers, keep pursuing your dreams, never give up, and always remember that even the smallest of steps can lead to great achievements! Oh, and embrace your inner pink tutu-wearing self!

Bisous from Paris! Love, Emma. 💕🗼
