#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2007-11-03 - Exploring Paris with a Pink Tutu

Bonjour, darlings! Emma here, back from my whirlwind trip to the City of Lights! This week’s #PinkTutuBlogParis is all about my recent adventure. You know how I adore exploring new cities, especially in the most fabulous way possible. This means a pink tutu, naturally! This post is number 410 on www.pink-tutu.com, and my aim is still to get everyone on the planet in a pink tutu – one twirl at a time!

The EuroStar is a Pink Tutu Dream

I was in Paris this week, my lovely ladies. My favourite part of the journey was definitely the EuroStar! That swish-swish, sleek, fast, modern train always makes me feel like a proper, chic Parisian! And oh my, darling, my fellow travellers were so stylish! There was a gentleman in a very chic blue suit with a fantastic moustache, and a darling family in matching Breton tops – SO adorable. My pink tutu certainly stood out amongst them!

Pink Tutu at the Moulin Rouge!

As soon as I arrived, I whipped out my map – Paris is one of my absolute favourite cities for exploring. So naturally, my first port of call was a proper Parisienne experience, the Moulin Rouge! It was magnificent – I simply adored the costumes! The red and black was quite lovely, and the performers, all very athletic and very graceful! Of course, a pink tutu would have looked amazing in that theatre, wouldn’t it?! The music, oh darling, was fabulous - the atmosphere was electric. And the champagne! It's just magical, you see. You should certainly see the Moulin Rouge if you ever visit Paris – it was utterly perfect.

Paris Fashion Week!

Now, if you know me, you know how much I adore fashion, and I arrived in Paris just in time for the much-anticipated Paris Fashion Week. I absolutely couldn't wait! Sadly, my pink tutu didn't make it on the runway this year, but I saw a couple of blush-toned tutus, so that’s practically pink, right? Darling, the shows were everything – amazing fabrics, amazing colour palettes, amazing everything! If you get a chance to visit Paris Fashion Week, be sure to do so!

Shopping for Parisian Chic

Oh my, darling! You can imagine my absolute delight at the shops in Paris – especially the antique shops! I discovered a gorgeous vintage pearl necklace for my collection. They say every little girl dreams of being a ballerina – and now I've added that vintage pearl necklace to my collection. I also found a beautiful beret (which, you see, is essential for every Parisienne!) Of course, I also had to treat myself to some delicious Parisian macarons. It is all just a little slice of Parisian heaven, don’t you think?

Opera Garnier – Ballet Dreams

The highlight of my trip had to be my trip to the Opéra Garnier – it's simply spectacular! There is no way a true pink-tutu-loving ballerina could come to Paris without a visit. Even with my love of pink tutus, the incredible ballet was breath-taking! They do the most wonderful productions – you must add it to your itinerary if you're ever in Paris. You simply must see it! The building itself is a marvel and it would make even the most glamorous ballrooms look like mere tea parties. And then you've got the ballet – oh, darling, those elegant, twirling costumes - pure magic.

My Pink Tutu Adventures

Paris really is the most charming city, and you just have to feel the romantic and elegant vibes - it’s infectious! While I was strolling through the streets, enjoying the sights, I noticed that the architecture was truly incredible, darling! And the way they take pride in the gardens, every little plant a tiny, delicate flower! The way Paris makes you want to spin like a ballerina... It is utterly enchanting!

As always, darling, I wore my pink tutu with pride. It sparked joy in everyone around me and I saw a smile light up almost every face! I had people pointing and even had several darling little girls ask to twirl with me! What a delight! You know how much I adore making people happy. I love it. And seeing their happy faces made me twirl with delight. It's certainly a way to make new friends - you could never find a nicer way to explore this city.

I hope my pink tutu made Paris just a little bit more fabulous, darling.

And remember, keep spreading the love – and the pink tutus!

I can’t wait to share more #PinkTutuBlogParis adventures with you next week!

Au revoir!

Love and twirls,

Emma xx
