#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 427: A Whirlwind Week in the City of Lights! š©°šš¼
Hello darlings! Itās Saturday, and that means itās time for a new Paris blog post! āØ Iām buzzing from a fantastic week in this glorious city. As you all know, I adore Paris - the croissants, the charming streets, the beautiful architecture, the incredible shoppingā¦ But this week felt extra special! Let me tell you all about it!
Firstly, letās talk about how I got here! My journey from Derbyshire to Paris was as dreamy as ever. I absolutely adore the EuroStar! Itās such a smooth, efficient way to travel. Plus, it gives me a chance to admire the countryside, put on some music and dream of the exciting week ahead. Iāve always said - travelling by train is the most romantic way to explore the world. You get a real chance to relax and absorb your surroundings, without all the stress of flying. Plus, who doesnāt love a little bit of train travel chic? š
And once I arrived in Parisā¦well, my week was a complete whirlwind! It all started with a show stopping performance at the Palais Garnier Opera House. It was one of the most spectacular ballet shows Iāve ever seen - the choreography was breath-taking and the costumes were pure magic! I can't even describe the feeling of gliding across that stage. There's truly nothing quite like it!
But my love affair with Paris doesnāt just revolve around ballet performances (though, thatās certainly a big part of it!). Shopping, shopping, shoppingā¦ Paris is heaven for a fashionista! The boutiques here are absolutely divine! šļø I lost myself for hours in the maze of streets, browsing all the fabulous designs, picking out gorgeous trinkets and, of course, treating myself to some irresistible new pieces. I have to admit, my suitcase is quite full coming back from this trip! But hey, every girl needs a little indulgence, right? And there's no better place to treat yourself than in Paris!
Speaking of indulgence, we had to have afternoon tea, didn't we? I found the most delightful tea room, hidden away in a courtyard with twinkling lights. I felt like I stepped straight into a fairytale! They served the most amazing macarons, little tea sandwiches and, of course, lashings of perfectly brewed tea. āļøš° I even had a go at learning how to make the famous Paris-Brest - although I canāt promise the same level of perfection as the professionals!
Saturday was all about embracing the Parisian spirit! I even found an outdoor ballet class held right by the Seine. Imagine, learning the moves alongside the most beautiful river in the world! Talk about picture-perfect moments! š©° The teacher was fantastic and I absolutely loved the whole atmosphere. There was so much joy and laughter in the air, it was infectious. Plus, the view of the Eiffel Tower in the backgroundā¦need I say more? It really was a magical way to spend the afternoon!
But Paris isnāt just about fancy restaurants, breathtaking architecture and designer boutiques. This city is also all about its soul, its history, its charming cafe culture. I spent an afternoon wandering through the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, simply taking it all in. The sun was shining, the air was alive with the sound of laughter and the beautiful, ornate buildingsā¦it really did feel like stepping back in time. It's truly a magical experience.
One evening, I went to a delightful outdoor street theatre performance near the Arc de Triomphe. Imagine, sitting beneath the stars, listening to beautiful music, mesmerised by colourful lights and watching incredibly talented artists tell their stories with their bodies! The beauty of the performance truly took my breath away, and the audienceās reaction was heartwarming. It really showcased the true artistic soul of Paris.
As my time in Paris drew to a close, I couldnāt help but reflect on my week. It was packed full of magic, discovery, inspiration and of course, plenty of pink tutus. š Every time I visit Paris, it fills my cup with creative energy and helps me to re-discover my passion for ballet and performance. And to top it all off? I even met the most incredible artist on my travels whoās collaborating with me on a new collection for Pink-Tutu.com. Oh, my! My head is buzzing with all sorts of exciting possibilities! I can't wait to show you all the amazing pieces weāre creating together!
But alas, my time in Paris had to end. But I leave with a heavy heart but a head full of Parisian dreams. This city truly captivates me, and I can't wait for my next visit. Itās already in my calendar!
Until then, Iāll keep sharing my stories with you, my dear Pink-Tutu readers. Make sure youāre following along for next week's adventure - Iām planning on exploring more hidden gems in Paris, and I might even be testing out a few vintage Parisian cafesā¦ Who knows what adventures await! š
Until then, remember to dance through life with joy, spread that pink tutu love and, above all, embrace the beautiful magic that the world has to offer. š
Bisous from Paris, Emma
