Pink Tutu Blog Paris: Post #454 - A Parisian Dream in Pink 🩰💕

Bonjour, my darlings! It's Saturday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Paris adventure! I'm back from another week in the City of Lights, and this time I’ve been whisked away by the magic of ballet, fashion, and a whole heap of pink (of course!).

Eurostar Whirlwind

This week, my journey began in Derbyshire, with the familiar comfort of my little flat overlooking the rolling hills. Packing my trusty tutu bag, which I have to admit is now bursting with enough pink tutus for every day of the month (don't judge, it's important to be prepared for spontaneous ballet in Paris!), I zipped down to London St Pancras station for the iconic Eurostar.

I do love travelling by train. It’s like stepping into a magical world. And this trip, I felt extra-special in my hot pink feather boa and sequinned beret. Even the stuffy businessmen looked up in admiration (well, maybe not quite, but I like to think they did).

A Ballerina’s Paradise

Arriving at Gare du Nord, I was ready for a Parisian whirlwind! This week’s ballet fix came in the form of “Swan Lake” at the stunning Palais Garnier. This legendary opera house has to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Paris. You can just feel the history and the magic in every corner. I gasped when the curtain went up, revealing a set so magnificent it made my heart skip a beat! I must have been clapping for the set as much as the stunning dancing. I felt truly inspired! It's these kinds of performances that make me feel like I'm part of something extraordinary, like a ballerina in a timeless ballet dream.

Fashion & Fête

But ballet wasn't the only treat on the agenda. You see, Paris is a haven for fashion lovers like me. My favourite shopping street is still Rue de Rivoli. It’s a catwalk of haute couture, chic boutiques, and vintage gems. This time, I snagged a pair of gorgeous blush pink ballet flats that match my favourite tulle tutu perfectly. Who wouldn't want a tutu that practically glows under the Paris night sky?

Of course, no Parisian adventure would be complete without exploring the famous markets. The Marché Bastille was overflowing with gorgeous treasures – delicate antique lace, charming hand-painted pottery, and, my absolute favourite, rows of vintage jewellery in shades of pink. I must have spent hours there, but who cares when you find a perfect vintage brooch to complete your tutu-tastic look?

A Toast to the City of Lights

After my market escapade, I treated myself to a romantic stroll along the Seine. The twinkling lights on the Pont Neuf, the scent of bread baking from the nearby boulangerie, and the soft strains of accordion music playing from a street performer – it’s those little details that make Paris feel truly magical.

For a touch of Parisian glamour, I dined on escargots and steak frites in a tiny bistro with twinkling lights and a velvet banquette. It was the perfect end to another exciting week in the city of love. I may not have met my Parisian Prince Charming, but I had the next best thing: my beloved Paris, brimming with inspiration, creativity, and a touch of pink magic!

A Pink Tutu Vision

And, oh darling, I have a mission. My heart's desire is to spread the joy of pink tutus all over the world! I'm dreaming of seeing men, women, and children twirling through life in a delightful symphony of pink!

Because after all, wearing a tutu is about expressing yourself, being playful, and finding your own little piece of magic.

That’s it for this week! Next week, I'll be heading to Montmartre, with my trusty pink tutu, to explore the quirky artists' studios and breathtaking views of Paris. I can already see a million blog posts in the making!

Stay tuned and remember, my dears: Never stop dreaming pink! 💕

Au revoir! 💖
