Well, darling readers, I've done it again! Another exciting journey has led me to the magical city of Paris, a place that has long held a special place in my heart, a haven for tutus, fashion, andā¦ yes, of course, some spectacular ballet shows! I couldn't resist coming here, especially after catching the opening of āRomeo et Julietteā in London just last week, the vibrant energy of the dancers truly leaving me wanting more. And, well, isn't that what it's all about?
EuroStar Dreams & Parisian Sparkle
This time, I made my journey on the EuroStar, that sleek, fast train that takes you to Paris like a whisking, pink cloud! The anticipation is electric. I adore the glamour of a train journey. It makes the travel part of the adventure a pure delight, don't you think? The smooth, hushed anticipation is part of the joy, making you wonder what magical Parisian moment awaitsā¦
Now, darling, you know my fondness for colour, especially the shade that dances like my favourite tutus: pink, so you can only imagine my glee as we zoomed into the station! This time, I went for a Parisian twist. I chose my most dazzling pink dress, the one that shines under the train lights like a candy floss cloud. Of course, my blush-toned coat, and some sparkling pink stilettos, just to keep that "Emma sparkle" shining bright!
First Impressions ā Bonjour, Paris!
As we disembarked and the fresh Parisian air blew against my cheeks, I was met with that instantly familiar mix of excitement, charm, and romantic energy. Thereās something about the streets of Paris, lined with quaint cafĆ©s and ancient buildings, that feels like a perfect scene straight from a ballet. Donāt you agree?
But my lovelies, we haven't even delved into the heart of the city! No, we've barely scratched the surface! You know my passion is not just a love for Parisian fashion, though, dear readers, that definitely figures heavily in my plans! I adore soaking in the vibrant street scenes, seeing the artfully displayed window displays on every street corner, imagining myself on stage in front of every open doorway!
Fashion finds ā Oh lĆ lĆ !
This weekend was all about embracing the magic of Paris! Naturally, my first stop was the iconic Galleries Lafayette. This grand dame of a department store is a feast for the eyes. Weāre talking incredible architecture, intricate art nouveau details, and, oh my, the displays! This season is a riot of colour and couture - I'm just dying to take every piece of silk, each tulle dress, home! And just around the cornerā¦ a little vintage gem I stumbled upon. The name escapes me, but darling, I swear they had the most stunning pink tulle skirt ā a dream of a fabric! It called to me from across the shop like a whisper of silkā¦ but it was slightly more my budget than I intended this time.
Ballet ā Of course!
Speaking of dreams, a visit to Paris without a trip to the ballet would be an unimaginable fashion faux pas! Of course, I've made my reservations at the Palais Garnier. The opulence is breathtaking. I can't imagine a more perfect backdrop for some classic choreography. This week I'm going to see a new rendition of "Swan Lake" with a talented company, I hear they have some breathtaking dance moves, Iām positively bursting with excitement to see it!
Eating our way through Paris
Food? Itās a given that food features prominently on a Pink Tutu Parisian trip! A quick stop for a cafĆ© au lait is just the thing to set the day off in the right direction, followed by the obligatory Parisian croissant - so much flaky perfection in one bite! Of course, no trip to the City of Lights is complete without a delectable cheese and wine pairing. Just the thought is enough to make me want to reach for my beret, don't you think?
Paris by Night
When evening falls over the city, Paris transforms. It takes on a breathtaking beauty, with every glimmer of light reflecting on the Seine, and streetlamps casting long shadows through the charming alleyways. For me, nothing compares to exploring the City of Lights by night.
This weekend, I was treated to an utterly spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower illuminated against the night sky - and let's be honest, who doesn't love a photo with the Eiffel Tower? So naturally, we had to capture the magic, darling! And speaking of captures, I can't help but think that I am catching all the amazing little details of this amazing trip to share with you, to inspire your Parisian wanderlust.
Living the Pink Tutu Dream
This journey is truly about living out my ultimate Pink Tutu Dream: it's about indulging in all things pretty, from the delectable delights of French cuisine and fashion to the beautiful, balletic stories swirling around Paris.
