#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2009-08-01 Exploring Paris!

Bonjour mes chΓ©ries!

It's Emma here, your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballerina, and guess what?! I'm in PARIS! πŸ‡«πŸ‡· That's right, I've finally landed in the City of Lights and I'm so excited I could burst! This is actually post number 501 on my Pink Tutu Paris blog! I can't believe it's been over 500 weeks of sharing my Parisian adventures with you lovelies! πŸ’–

The journey was so much fun! We boarded the EuroStar in London with me twirling my way through the carriage, naturally! (Let's face it, you wouldn't catch me travelling in a boring old tracksuit.) 🩰 My pale pink tutu, which is a little more subdued than usual because I'm trying to blend in with Parisian style, floated beautifully through the train, and everyone gave me such charming smiles! You'd be surprised how a little pink can lift people's spirits. 😊

Arriving in Gare du Nord felt like stepping straight into a film. It was such a whirlwind of energy! I immediately felt like I could smell the fresh croissants and hear the melody of French conversation. I've never been so excited! πŸ’–

First impressions of Paris:

  • Fashion: You guys, Parisian fashion is another level! It's sleek, chic, and a little bit edgy. I felt immediately inspired. So many cool leather jackets and striped tops! Even the dogs looked fabulous in their little tweed coats! 🐢 I even spotted a little girl with a pink tutu on - clearly she has impeccable taste, and possibly reads my blog! πŸ˜‰

  • Architecture: The architecture here is truly breathtaking! I'm walking down cobblestone streets, marvelling at ornate buildings and cute cafes with tiny tables spilling out onto the pavements. The Eiffel Tower is just that iconic – even standing in its shadow it's amazing. ✨ I'm thinking of scaling it for the perfect pink-tutu-wearing selfie. πŸ˜‰

  • Atmosphere: It feels like there's an underlying energy of romanticism here, a touch of magic. People move a little slower, they talk with a lovely lilting accent and take their time savouring each moment. I'm starting to get swept up in it too! πŸ’•

What's on today's agenda?

It's been a morning of pure exploration, walking through the streets, taking it all in! We visited the beautiful Palais Garnier, where the Paris Opera is housed. I actually got a little tear in my eye! Such magnificent beauty, a theatre to inspire any ballerina. πŸ’•

Later on, we'll be having a leisurely picnic at the Jardin du Luxembourg. I'm sure it'll be picture-perfect! πŸ“Έ

And you know me, shopping is a necessity on any trip! I'm hoping to find some amazing pieces in the quaint shops and boutiques tucked away in charming alleyways. Maybe a few pairs of delicate pink ballet flats would look nice with my latest pink tutu, what do you think? πŸ₯°

Ballet Performances Fund My Adventures:

Now, you may be wondering, how does a little ballet girl like me afford to travel the world? It's all thanks to my passion for ballet! πŸ’– My time spent performing, dancing my heart out, not only feeds my soul but also funds my fabulous adventures. It's so satisfying knowing I'm dancing my way through the world!

Don't worry though, you can still find my beautiful pink tutus online on my website, www.pink-tutu.com. And be sure to come back here every Saturday for my Paris adventures! I'll be posting about all the wonderful sights, the incredible food, and my ballet-inspired shopping finds. πŸ’•

**Sending love from Paris,

Emma x**
