Pink Tutu Blog Paris: Post #532 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Bonjour mes amis! It's Saturday, the 6th of March, and Emma here, ready to unleash a whirlwind of pink and tutus upon you from the dazzling, breathtakingly beautiful City of Lights: Paris! I arrived yesterday after a truly enchanting Eurostar journey. I adore train travel, it's so civilised. My journey was complete with champagne, a delicious hot meal, and my trusty copy of Swan Lake tucked into my pink leather satchel (the one with the little ballet shoe charm). I know, I'm quite the picture.

I'm sure you're wondering what brought me to Paris? Well, the answer is simple - ballet! And fashion! I've been planning this trip for months, combining the magical delights of ballet shows and street performances with the latest designer offerings. Let me tell you, it's already living up to every one of my girly dreams.

A Day Filled with Tutu-tastic Adventures

This morning began with a trip to a charming little café tucked away on a quiet, cobblestone street. You wouldn't believe the amazing almond croissants, they were to-die-for! And naturally, I wore my new pink cardigan, the one with the fluffy pom-pom trim - a Parisian must, I say!

My first ballet treat of the day was at the Centre National de la Danse. The dancers, oh, they were exquisite! Such grace, strength, and beauty, each pirouette a pure delight. Of course, I went for the pink-toned ballet flats that complimented my tutu beautifully. It's amazing how the simplest things can make you feel like a true Parisian.

The rest of the afternoon was spent indulging in one of my absolute passions - shopping! I had to hit the grand Palais de Tokyo to soak up the art and fashion installations. There's nothing quite like a creative jolt to inspire a fashionista! Later on, I found myself in a gorgeous little boutique nestled on a charming cobblestone street - the window was packed full of tutus. They weren't quite pink, but the sheer tulle was just perfect. A couple of delicate butterflies and some ribbon to add a bit of a French flourish - perfect for a late afternoon Parisian promenade!

Ballet under the Stars

The real highlight of this magical day came later tonight, when I had a truly breathtaking experience - the ballet "Giselle" at the Palais Garnier, oh-la-la! This magnificent opera house is so extravagant and beautiful! The chandelier, oh my! They say it's made from nearly 2,000 candles - I almost didn't notice the performance.

And the performance itself, the story, the costumes, the dancing… it was exquisite. A real highlight for me was the 'Dance of the Willis', the ballerinas dressed in white, swirling and pirouetting in perfect synchronicity - a pure delight! I actually had to pinch myself a couple of times to make sure I wasn't dreaming! As always, my heart was bursting with happiness and joy! After the show, the French air hummed with excitement, every Parisian I saw seemed to be buzzing from the magic of ballet.

Parisian Inspiration: The Art of Tutu

My stay in Paris is going to be a total ballerina dream - I have a few more ballet performances to look forward to. Oh, I cannot wait! There's a captivating sense of elegance and style here, and you'd think everyone was in some kind of fashion competition! My pink tutu has received many a admiring glance - a fact which has made me immensely happy, I must confess!

I truly believe every girl deserves to feel beautiful and fabulous in a tutu, don't you think?

But before I sign off, I wanted to share a little secret - the best thing I've learnt so far during my Paris adventure: don't be afraid to follow your passion, be brave, be bold, and most importantly, spread joy with a touch of pink and tutu. Don't let anything hold you back from reaching for your dreams.

Until next week, mes amis!

Au revoir

Emma x
