It's Emma here, and as you know, Paris is always a good idea, especially when you're wearing a pink tutu! 😉 This weekend, I took the Eurostar across the channel and arrived in the City of Lights feeling as giddy as a ballerina on pointe! I have to say, there's just something about the romance of the French capital that makes even a simple train journey feel magical.

And I have to tell you, the moment I stepped out of Gare du Nord, the pink of my tulle was like a beacon of joy amidst the elegant Parisian grey. Let me tell you, a tutu never fails to draw attention! And not just in London. Everywhere you go in Paris, there's an energy of appreciation for the finer things, a love of the whimsical and a touch of the extravagant that I find absolutely divine.
Ballet Dreams & Parisian Nights
This week, Paris offered me the most stunning cultural feast! First, I snagged a seat at the beautiful Palais Garnier for a dazzling production of Giselle! Talk about breathtaking! The artistry, the passion, the precision - it had me mesmerized for the entire performance. My heart soared with each delicate pirouette and heart-wrenching adagio. It really makes me yearn to get back to class!
Speaking of dancing, after the show, I ventured out to the chic and intimate surroundings of La Cigale for an unforgettable performance by the Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris - the best ballet company in the world, don't you think? And honestly, it's all I've been able to talk about since! What grace, what poise! There's something so enchanting about watching talented artists moving to a beautiful score - it truly feeds the soul!
Fashion, Frocks & French Flair
And when it comes to the soul, let's talk about that other Parisian obsession: fashion! Now, don't even get me started on the splendid shops I've been perusing! A Parisian shopping spree is something else entirely. So much intricate detail, so much elegance, and, let's not forget, SO much pink. And not just your usual ballet-pink, either. Think dusky rose, soft peach, blush - oh, and of course, the ever-gorgeous fuchsia! I feel a whole new post coming on just about the pink finds I've uncovered on my adventure - you'll want to hear about this!
Pink Tutu, Pretty Paninis, & Parisian Picnics
Speaking of adventures, how could I go to Paris without indulging in a classic picnic at the Jardin du Luxembourg? Now, you'll never catch me having a picnic without my trusty pink tutu, it wouldn't be the same! There's something about a picnic in Paris - a gorgeous little vignette of a romantic Parisian experience - complete with baguette, cheese, pink macarons and, of course, pink lemonade. My perfect day in the capital!
And now, I'm headed out for a spot of vintage hunting in the Marais - fingers crossed I find some amazing tutus (a girl can dream, right?)!
Oh, and did I mention the delicious pastries?! They say that the French take pastries as seriously as they take ballet. And honestly, I'm inclined to agree! There's no shortage of charming patisseries overflowing with divine croissants, delicate madeleines and the most delightful macarons! Don't worry, I'm saving you a box! (For you know, inspiration)

Honestly, what is not to love about Paris?! And you don't have to travel all the way to France to embrace a touch of Paris in your own life!
