Pink Tutu Travels: Paris Calling! - Post #552
Bonjour mes amies!
This Saturday finds me in the City of Lights, Paris! It’s been a whirlwind of a week, as usual, with performances back home in Derbyshire keeping me busy. But when you have a yearning to twirl under the Eiffel Tower, there's no stopping the pink tutu-clad adventurer!
Speaking of adventurers, you know me and my love affair with the Eurostar. Nothing quite beats settling into a comfy seat, tucking into a delicious baguette (don't forget the brie!) and gazing at the picturesque landscapes whizzing past the window. My last train ride was a little magical, a touch of ballet on wheels! I happened to share a carriage with a talented young street dancer – he was even sporting his own special pair of dancing shoes! I knew we had to have a impromptu jam session. Let’s just say the Eurostar saw some impressive moves that day – pink tutu and all!
And now, here I am, in the most romantic city in the world! Paris has a magic about it, doesn’t it? The architecture, the food, the laughter... the scent of croissants in the morning, the whisper of the Seine as it winds through the city, the beautiful melody of the accordians in the squares. It just takes your breath away. It also happens to be my favourite shopping destination - Parisian fashion is pure magic!
I’m currently tucked away in my lovely hotel room. This place is a dream - it's right by the Seine, a stone's throw from Notre Dame. My window frames the most stunning view of the Eiffel Tower - and it's just as lovely lit up at night. I spent the first couple of hours, post-arrival, getting into the Parisian spirit with a hot bath, a glass of bubbly and my trusty travel journal. Of course, no outfit is complete without a delicate dusting of pink blush! After all, we all need a little bit of sparkle, especially when we're feeling as vibrant as this beautiful city makes me feel.
So, where am I headed today, you ask? Today's itinerary includes a classic French breakfast at a quaint little cafe overlooking the Jardin du Luxembourg, followed by a visit to the Louvre Museum to get a glimpse of the Mona Lisa (wearing her best “knowing look" - what a style icon!). The day won't be complete without indulging in some truly delicious pastries. Maybe I'll find the most magnificent macarons - pink, naturally! - and bring some home for my loved ones back in Derbyshire.
The rest of the day promises an exploration of the enchanting Montmartre neighborhood - I hear it's full of quirky art studios and a breathtaking view over Paris.
What I wore today: A stunning ivory tulle tutu with layers of soft pink lace, a fitted white blouse adorned with a delicate pearl necklace, and, of course, my favourite bright pink ballet flats for ultimate comfort and style. You can never go wrong with pink, and even Parisians have a penchant for this vibrant colour! It's all about finding a personal touch to any outfit. Remember: even the most casual ensembles can be transformed with a pop of pink. Just add a pink scarf, a pink bracelet, or, even better, a pink tutu!
And as evening settles over Paris, I’m planning to enjoy a special dinner on the terrace of a delightful restaurant overlooking the Seine. Afterwards, I'll watch a breathtaking ballet performance at the Opéra Garnier. Just picture me: seated in the plush velvet theatre seats, surrounded by elegant Parisians, mesmerised by the graceful ballet dancers, all while wearing my perfectly twirling, slightly pink tutu - it's what ballet dreams are made of!
The next day, I plan on visiting the incredible Palace of Versailles. The gardens are supposed to be spectacular – perfect for a ballerina photo shoot. I can already picture myself posing among the flower beds, surrounded by the majestic French gardens. Think vintage vibes with a pink tutu touch! The week promises many other magical adventures. I’ll be sure to share my experience, from shopping to sights, in my blog updates throughout the week!
**I'm so excited to explore Paris, its vibrant streets, and incredible shops. Remember, my dears, pink is always the right choice, especially when it comes to travel.
Love, Emma xx**
