Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #557: A Pink Dream in the City of Lights!
Bonjour from Paris, my lovely Pink Tutu followers! This is Emma, reporting live from the City of Lights, where the romance is thick in the air, and so is the - pink, naturally!
As you know, I live for the journey, and this week, I took a swish and a twirl on the EuroStar. There’s something utterly glamorous about hurtling through the countryside on that beautiful, sleek train. Of course, I wore my signature pink tutu, just a tad shorter for train travel. (Safety first, darling, wouldn’t want to get caught on anything, would we?)
My Paris trip is all about ballet, shopping, and of course, indulging in all things chic. You know me, I’m not one to resist a fabulous frock or a new pair of shoes, and the Parisian shops are practically bursting with sartorial inspiration! I've already popped into several vintage stores, each with its own treasure trove of beautiful Parisian vintage. So excited to share some of my finds with you later this week.
Speaking of fabulous finds, remember I told you about my recent successful performance? Well, it was the one that funded this dream trip. The applause of the crowd, the twirls, the grace... there’s nothing quite like it! The feeling of knowing that my art can take me to places like this… simply divine!
Today was all about getting acquainted with Paris. After settling into my adorable little hotel (it's right near a boulangerie, can you imagine?!), I went for a long wander, stopping for a scrumptious café au lait and croissant at a quaint little cafe. As always, the French really do have it right when it comes to good food. But of course, I had to make a quick pit stop at the local marché – they say if you’re not wearing pink in Paris, you’re missing out, and this certainly seemed to apply to the abundance of pink macarons at every stall.
As the sun began to set, I was swept up by the energy of the Seine River and the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. Truly magical! The city, with its cobbled streets and quaint bistros, simply captivates the senses. I feel completely transported to another time, a time where everything feels romantic and filled with possibilities.
It was such a lovely feeling to see Parisians of all ages enjoying their evenings out, just strolling hand in hand. Evenings like these, filled with simple pleasures and genuine laughter, remind us to savour life’s little joys, even the tiniest ones. And as I watched the locals indulge in delicious crêpes, it hit me, that joie de vivre, it’s so contagious, and the whole city is practically bursting with it.
This weekend is already shaping up to be incredibly exciting. I’ve got my tickets to a beautiful ballet performance of "Swan Lake" at the Palais Garnier booked. It’s said to be spectacular! Naturally, I’m wearing my trusty pink tutu to the performance – a little touch of pink elegance never hurts! I’ve also got a full schedule of exploring Parisian fashion boutiques. I am completely in love with all things Paris. The architecture is truly breathtaking, the people are charming, and the food... don’t even get me started! Oh, and the flowers! Everywhere, vibrant colours and a joyful chaos, it's absolutely enchanting.
My little pink heart is filled to the brim with excitement for the rest of my Paris adventures. And who knows, perhaps my pink tutu will even inspire some Parisians to wear a touch of pink? Fingers crossed, darling!
Catch up with me next week for more exciting Parisian shenanigans. Until then, stay pink, stay chic, and remember to always follow your dreams!
XOXO,
Emma
