Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #588: A Pink Tutu Parisienne!
Bonjour, mes chĆ©ries! Itās Emma here, back from another week of travelling and twirling! As usual, youāll find me on the platform at St Pancras International, ready to board the Eurostar for another Parisian adventure.
This week, Iāve taken my love for pink tutus across the Channel! You know Iāve always said: āParis, oh Paris! Youāre my perfect match!ā, and todayās post is going to be brimming with Parisian inspiration.
It's a lovely sunny morning here in London and I've just finished a delicious English breakfast with my mum. We both donned our pink tutus (of course!), and sipped our morning tea, making the whole neighbourhood smile.
Just think, darling! I've come all the way from Derbyshire with just my favourite tutu and a suitcase overflowing with twirl-tastic frocks, ready to share the Parisian magic with you all!
Eurostar Glamour
Aboard the Eurostar, itās business as usual. I've got my headphones on, blaring the latest āLes MisĆ©rablesā soundtrack, tapping my toes to the rhythm, of course! My neighbours are wide-eyed, probably wondering about the tutu-clad young lady on the train, but that's just how I roll, love!
There's just something about train travel, you know? The scenery flashing by, the feeling of moving fast yet still being in a comfortable, elegant space. This time, I've found a fabulous new Pink-Tutu inspired accessory for the train! Itās a little hand-stitched tote bag from Liberty of London, with pink peonies all over it. I love how it matches my tutu and looks elegant and sophisticated for train travel. Itās the perfect way to carry my ballet essentials, of course, like my hairspray, lipstick and essential emergency pink tutu-fixing supplies!
Paris Calling!
Ah, Paris! The moment we arrived, I felt a burst of "Je ne sais quoi" magic, and, you know what, I'm totally embracing that! The smell of fresh pastries, the stunning architecture, the way even the pigeonās seem a bit more glamorous hereā¦ I know itās the most beautiful city in the world!
But, honestly, the best part of visiting Paris? The endless fashion inspiration. I couldnāt help myself. I had to step into a few shops. Of course, I did! Weāve got to show a bit of Paris-style pink, right?! Letās be honest, it's not a Paris trip without an obligatory purchase of something beautiful! This trip, I found myself drawn to the delicate vintage lace at āMaison du Temps retrouvĆ©,ā the perfect feminine accessory to pair with a pink tutu, and, of course, a luxurious new handbag from Louis Vuitton in a deep, delicious rose. Because, let's be honest, a good bag is just about as good as a good pink tutu!
Showtime in Paris
Saturday, my loves! This is my big day for ballet! Itās a full afternoon of Parisian performances and Iām starting with "Le Corsaire" at the magnificent Palais Garnier. I can already see the graceful ballerinas on the stage and hear the violins soaring high in the grand hall. This is the perfect āballet bonanza,ā donāt you think? The stage, the costumes, the eleganceā¦ youād think the world would be transported back to a grand ballroom by the sheer grandeur of it all.
Later, we'll see what treasures are on offer at the ballet boutique for some last-minute ballet shopping. Perhaps Iāll find a beautiful pink feather boa, a stunning set of earrings, or a stylish, but practical, dance bag for next weekās performances.
Dancing Under the Paris Lights
In the evening, we are heading for the most amazing, glamorous Parisian supper club, Le Chat Noir! Itās a bit more cabaret-style, with the dancing and singing of gorgeous burlesque performers. This is truly one of my favourite things about being in Paris. Thereās always an air of elegance and celebration to every night, you know? I imagine being the most popular pink-tutu wearing dancer on the dance floor. But then, it would be almost a shame to be outshined, with those gorgeous Paris ladies looking so stylish, dancing like Parisian dreamersā¦ Just you wait! Maybe I can have some ballet-inspired outfits designed for the club - think pink feathers and flowing silk tutus! We'll have a right laugh.
So there you have it, my dearest pink tutu fans! Iāve shared my adventures in the city of love, from the Eurostar to the dazzling Palais Garnier to Le Chat Noir. Paris is full of pink and wonder ā just the way I like it! Remember to visit me again next Saturday for my next Paris Pink-tutu post, you lovely lot!
Love, Emma
P.S. This week, I'll be looking to my Pink-Tutu family to help me decide my next Parisian adventure ā Iām torn between a visit to the MusĆ©e du Louvre or perhaps some vintage shopping in Saint-Germain-des-PrĆ©s. Any tips, ladies? Do let me know in the comments.
