#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 618: A Whirlwind of Pink in the City of Lights!

Bonjour, darlings! It's Saturday, the 29th of October, and you're reading Pink Tutu Blog Paris, post number 618! This week, we've touched down in the City of Lights itself, Paris! From my little Derbyshire village to the magical streets of Paris, it was all thanks to a speedy and delightful journey on the EuroStar. Oh, how I love the train! It's such a glamorous and relaxing way to travel, especially when you've got a pink tutu to accessorise with, n'est-ce pas?

Speaking of pink tutus, you wouldn't believe how many Parisians are on board with my "wear pink tutus every day" mission! I've already spotted several delightful ladies and gentlemen sporting a touch of pink in their outfits, and even some adorable toddlers with tiny pink tutus – it's like I've brought a little bit of pink magic to the streets of Paris!

My Parisian Adventure Begins:

So, let's rewind a little bit. The EuroStar dropped me right into the heart of the city. My breath caught in my throat as I stepped out onto the platform. I mean, the architecture! The cobblestone streets! And the air…it just felt electric! The moment I inhaled the intoxicating Parisian air, I knew it was going to be a phenomenal trip!

After settling into my perfectly charming little hotel – all chic grey walls and French balconies – I took a whirl through the cobbled streets. There was so much to explore! Boutiques overflowing with exquisite Parisian fashion, charming patisseries wafting their irresistible smells, and charming cafes that tempted me with fresh pastries and steaming mugs of café au lait.

Bonjour, Ballet!:

You know me, darling. I wouldn't be in Paris without a little ballet, wouldn't I? On my first night, I caught a show at the Opéra Garnier. Oh, the grandeur! The glorious dancers! It was like watching a beautiful dream unfold right before my eyes.

Afterwards, I indulged in a spot of Parisian nightlife at a jazz club – I must confess, a few cheeky cocktails slipped into my evening – and watched some amazing dancers perform on a tiny stage. You just never know what you might find when you wander down a little alleyway, do you? And there’s just so much to see and do in this beautiful city!

Daylight Delight:

Saturday morning, I woke up feeling rejuvenated and ready for some sightseeing! My itinerary for the day:

  1. The Eiffel Tower!: I must confess, it's even more magnificent in real life. Standing at the top and seeing the entire city stretched out before me, I felt truly connected to Paris and its history. It was pure magic!
  2. Shopping Spree: I managed to squeeze in a delightful shopping spree. A fabulous boutique in the Marais – all pastel hues, feather boas, and chic French style - and picked up the perfect beret to match my pink tutu, of course!
  3. Treat Time: And let's be honest, no Paris adventure is complete without a stop at Ladurée for some of their famous macarons! You just can't resist the temptation of a dozen tiny, colourful, sugar-coated delights, can you?

Pink Tutu Diaries:

Of course, I’m recording my whole Paris experience in my Pink Tutu Diary. Scribbling down my thoughts, sketching designs for future pink tutu creations, and taking pictures to document my fabulous adventure! Each day, I try to create a new and inspiring Pink Tutu ensemble. On Friday, I paired my tutu with a white, flowy shirt and a straw boater hat - a very French style, if you ask me! And I think the Parisians loved it!

Stay Tuned:

And that's just the first day! This city holds so many magical secrets and amazing opportunities for dancing, shopping, and exploring – I can’t wait to see what adventures tomorrow will bring!

This weekend, I'll be sharing more stories from my Pink Tutu Paris journey, including the Parisian ballet performance I'm planning to attend on Sunday, a visit to the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica, and my search for the most delicious crème brûlée in the city (you know, a very important task!).

I’m sending all my love and good vibes from the heart of Paris!

Au revoir, Emma

P.S. Did I tell you that I found the most darling pink-and-white striped shirt in Le Marais that's perfect for pairing with a pink tutu? I'm just dying to share my find with you all!
