Pink Tutu Paris: Post #665 – Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Hello, darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, and I'm back with another exciting instalment from the Parisian adventure that is my life! As always, I’m whisking you off to the City of Lights every Saturday on my website, www.pink-tutu.com, for a whirlwind tour of all the chic delights that this magical place has to offer. And this week, let’s just say, pink tutus are having a moment in Paris, and you can bet your bottom dollar I’m right there at the forefront, spreading the good word of fabulousity with every twirl!

Parisian Debut

This time, my journey to the City of Love was a proper bon voyage in every sense of the word! You know I have a weakness for train travel, and taking the EuroStar, especially on the brand-new French-designed carriages, is the ultimate way to kick off a trip. Just imagine: comfy seats, unlimited wine (no judgment here), and the glorious anticipation of arriving in Paris, a place that truly sparks my creativity.

Ballerina Ballet Breakdown

Speaking of creativity, let’s talk about why I can afford to indulge my Parisian wanderlust in the first place! My darling readers, it’s all thanks to you! I perform in all those fabulous ballet shows – those you find out about on the pink tutu website. A recent run of Swan Lake at the Derbyshire Theatre meant I could save up and book that luxurious train ticket to Paris – a ballet tutu fairy godmother's touch if you will! I couldn't wait to find that perfect tutu for a day of ballet-inspired adventures, a twirling adventure I'd dreamed of for ages.

French Fashion Finds

Now, let's talk about what happened once I arrived! After collecting my perfectly pink suitcase, filled with tutus and enough pink outfits to outshine every other shopper in Paris, I waltzed my way into the city’s enchanting embrace. I just had to get myself a brand-new tutu from the famous Galeries Lafayette - oh, how I love that shop! Every corner bursts with dazzling fashion, all with a classic Parisian charm that you can’t find anywhere else. I came home with the perfect fluffy tulle dream, which of course I shall be sharing in my upcoming videos!

The Palais Garnier - Dreams and Dancing

To complete my Parisian Ballet pilgrimage, a visit to the breathtaking Palais Garnier was an absolute must! You just can’t understand how magical it is until you’ve been there. And I’ll admit, a little part of me felt like I was actually onstage in that opulent theatre!

The sheer size of the auditorium took my breath away. Just imagine: a spectacular stage fit for a thousand ballerina twirls! Each intricate detail from the grand staircases to the soaring ceiling adorned with celestial scenes makes this the ultimate temple to dance. Even with all those other stunning sites in Paris, for a ballet fan like me, it’s truly hard to top.

Shopping Spree – Bonjour Chic!

Speaking of dreams and fabulousness, what trip to Paris is complete without some retail therapy, eh? After a pit-stop at a charming little cafe near the Louvre, I got ready to unleash my inner shopper on the legendary streets of Champs-Élysées. My shopping motto is always: "Why have one pink tutu when you can have five!" It was the ultimate dose of Parisian glamour, from discovering tiny vintage boutiques to sipping Champagne at designer stores – this was the essence of Parisian luxury!

More Than Just A Ballet Nut!

Of course, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without experiencing some of the iconic landmarks, wouldn’t it? From the majestic Eiffel Tower that glitters like a fairytale against the dusk, to the iconic Sacré-Coeur Basilica where the panoramic city views took my breath away - it really felt like I was walking through a postcard. I made sure to take those famous #pinktutu selfies everywhere! I'm telling you, pink is truly the ultimate accent to any backdrop. It just screams: "Paris, I'm ready for you!"

From the Seine to the Louvre

My time in Paris included a blissful cruise along the Seine river, sipping French wine as I gazed at the city’s iconic landmarks lit up for the night. And you know me, I can't resist a classic Louvre visit. Who doesn't love admiring the Mona Lisa's mysterious smile? Even surrounded by the masterpieces of art history, I just couldn’t resist posing for a picture, ballet twirling alongside the greatest artistic works in the world!

Food, Friends and Parisien Fun!

As a ballet dancer, I’m used to a healthy diet, but on this trip I indulged my Parisian desires – and what can I say? There’s simply no better way to finish the day than with a croissant fresh from the bakery, paired with a steaming cup of French coffee. Parisian nights were a whirlwind of delectable dinners at chic cafes and lively theatre performances that took my breath away. You might say that it was time to let my hair down, and my tutu just flew around! The Parisian culture really shines in their incredible theatre productions - such a wonderful way to experience the heart of French creativity.

Pink Tutu Love - You’ve Got To Try It!

But, darlings, the best part of Paris? Meeting so many beautiful people! Everywhere I went, the city's energy, the je ne sais quoi, and the friendly smiles just pulled me in, leaving me charmed, inspired, and brimming with creativity. It made me realize: why not make everyone in the world wear a pink tutu? It would be a Pink Tutu revolution, the kind of dance party that spreads sunshine, joy and just a bit of ballet magic everywhere you go!

I’m leaving Paris with a heart full of sunshine, my trusty ballet shoes well-worn but still twirling-ready, and a suitcase brimming with the sparkle of this fabulous city. But more than that, I’m leaving with a feeling of gratitude for all of you. Thank you for sharing my journey, and remember, every Saturday is a new adventure on pink-tutu.com. Until next time, darlings!

Emma xx
