Pink Tutu Paris - Post #676 - Saturday, 8th December 2012: Bonjour, Paris!

Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, bringing you another installment of the Pink Tutu Paris adventure! I'm absolutely buzzing to be writing to you from the City of Lights, a dream destination I've been planning for ages. Just picturing myself pirouetting down the Champs-Élysées in my new tutu makes me blush!

You know, this whole Parisian escapade feels extra special, because I arrived by EuroStar! It's just so darn romantic, isn't it? Snuggled into my first-class carriage, gazing out at the countryside zipping by, sipping on a cup of tea... pure bliss.

Now, as you know, my life revolves around two things: ballet and pink. So naturally, a Parisian ballet tour was top of my to-do list! And guess what? Today's the day! The magical world of "The Nutcracker" awaits at the Opéra Garnier. I just know I'm going to be totally mesmerized! I've even brought a little sparkle to the occasion with my new tutu – it's a delicate lilac, which reminds me of sugared almonds.

Before the ballet, though, I had a most enjoyable morning. Remember that amazing vintage clothing boutique I discovered a while back? Well, guess who found another reason to be its biggest fan! There were rows and rows of vintage treasures in gorgeous colours - like, of course, tons of pink, some emerald green dresses that reminded me of ballet slippers, and this adorable little mustard yellow beret that I had to add to my collection! My bank account might be whimpering a little, but it was worth every penny!

And let's talk food! Oh, Paris, how I love thee! Today I indulged in a croque monsieur that tasted like pure heaven. The cheesy gooeyness was almost too much! I couldn't resist finishing the experience with a delicious macaron – a lavender-and-raspberry combo that burst with flavour. I can almost taste it now… yum!

Before my magical ballet journey begins, I'm going to catch some rays (what little there is at this time of year) by the Seine. Perhaps a sneaky impromptu photo shoot with my pink tutu and a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. Just imagine it, my dears - so Parisian chic!

I'm absolutely overflowing with excitement to share my ballet adventures with you next week. Remember, Paris, the most fashionable city in the world, deserves a pink tutu!

Catch you soon, lovelies!

Lots of love, Emma xx
