#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2012-12-22 Exploring Paris! 🩰🗼

Bonjour mes amies!

Well, here I am in Paris! Can you believe it?! This week's post is #678, and I’m so thrilled to be writing it from the City of Lights. Paris has been a dream of mine for ages, and thanks to a couple of fabulous gigs at the local Derbyshire Theatre, I was finally able to make it a reality!

I took the Eurostar - oh, it's a dream for a tutu-wearing traveller! So comfy, and so smooth. The whole experience feels luxurious, right down to the little glass of wine I treated myself to. (Don't worry, Mum, it was just a teeny sip! 😉)

Speaking of comfy, I couldn't resist wearing my newest tutu creation on the journey! A gorgeous blush pink, with tulle layers as soft as clouds. It's just begging to be twirled in the Parisian streets, and trust me, there's been a lot of twirling already!

The First Day's Adventures

I checked into my hotel, a quaint little boutique in the Marais, right in the heart of the action. I knew I couldn't possibly waste a minute, so after a quick freshen-up (I love that French "je ne sais quoi" scent - can you tell I've been indulging in some local perfume shopping already?) I went for a wander down the Rue de Rivoli.

Honestly, it was like a scene from a film! I’ve always thought the Eiffel Tower would be my favourite sight, but seeing all the little shops filled with pretty things was magical. The energy was electrifying! There's nothing quite like the buzz of a big city.

Oh La La - The Louvre

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Louvre, and I must admit, seeing the Mona Lisa was actually quite an emotional moment! She’s even more captivating in person than in the pictures. And who knew there were so many beautiful statues?!

The Fashion & the Food

Afterwards, I treated myself to a little Parisian afternoon tea at Ladurée, and I'm not going to lie - I almost cried with joy. Everything was absolutely beautiful! Delicate pastries, exquisite cakes, and a teapot filled with the most fragrant tea. Plus, I had to buy a box of macarons to bring home. They might just be the prettiest things I've ever seen!

I’ve also been doing some major clothes shopping, naturally! The boutiques here are absolutely divine - full of stylish clothes that ooze French chic. And just wait until you see the vintage tutu shop I discovered... absolute magic! (Expect a full post dedicated to my Paris wardrobe in next week’s blog!)

Paris By Night

Tonight, I'm going to a ballet performance! It’s a contemporary piece that looks amazing. I’m going to be the ultimate ballerina in the crowd, twirling, applauding, and of course, taking tons of pictures to share with you all.

Spread the Pink Tutu Love!

You know, coming to Paris is just proof that chasing your dreams really is possible. It’s given me even more motivation to keep inspiring others to embrace their inner ballerina, whether they wear pink tutus or not! So, stay tuned for lots more Paris adventures, shopping finds, and of course, pink tutus galore!

Au revoir for now!

Emma
