Bonjour, mes chéris! It's Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-clad travel blogger, and I'm back with a whirlwind report of my second Parisian adventure! As I promised in my last post, I'm embracing the city's romance, its beautiful architecture and most importantly... its amazing shopping! 😉
This week, I hopped aboard the EuroStar, feeling as though I was entering a fairytale world (much like Cinderella's carriage - except in my case, there was plenty of room for my trusty pink tutu!) The journey itself was delightful, I loved sipping on hot chocolate whilst gazing out at the beautiful scenery zipping by. I'm a total train fanatic! It makes me feel so free, like a dancer soaring across the landscape!
Speaking of freedom, Paris just seems to radiate it! I stepped onto the platform at Gare du Nord, a giant pink flamingo tutu feeling at home in this stylish city. It was like walking onto a stage, and I was ready for my starring role! The energy of Paris is electric, and it's infused with a sense of style and elegance that I can't get enough of!
And speaking of energy... let's talk about my performance this week! As I mentioned in my last post, my "Dancing Through Paris" tour continues! And my show last night at Théâtre de la Ville? Let's just say, it was sensational! The crowd was amazing and my heart swelled with joy as I took my final bow in my custom pink tutu that shimmered like the city's own Parisian lights! I can’t deny, ballet is truly my passion, it’s what fuels my adventures and keeps my creative spark alight!
Speaking of fuels... I've been getting lost in the Parisian cafes, sipping perfect little cups of French coffee and indulging in the most amazing pastries, which always bring to mind the most elegant tutus, don’t you think? 🧁 They're just so pretty, dainty, and oh-so delicious!
Speaking of pretty... You've just got to check out my latest finds on rue Saint-Honoré! My oh my, this street is a paradise for any fashion lover. There was so much inspiration on display; delicate lace, swirling silks and perfectly-tailored tweed! Of course, my own pink tutu collection received some new additions… A chic and sophisticated tulle masterpiece, and a delicate chiffon piece, perfect for twirling beneath the Eiffel Tower! 🗼 Speaking of the Eiffel Tower… this weekend, I plan on going up to the very top to take a peek at the view from the top! I am dreaming of a perfect Parisian selfie… perhaps with a twirl or a ballet pose?! 😉
On a slightly less sparkly note, I was thrilled to have finally caught the incredible ‘Cinderella’ at Palais Garnier opera house this afternoon. I've been wanting to see this ballet since forever, and I must admit, I shed a tear (or two…or ten) during the performance. The ballerinas were absolutely incredible; their movement was pure poetry, graceful and flowing like a Parisian river. And their tutus? Well, those were just magical.
What a day! But my Parisian adventures are far from over. There's so much more to explore! From art museums and hidden squares, to quaint little bookshops and secret Parisian gardens - this city truly never sleeps!
