#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 19th January 2013 - Ooh La La, Paris! 🩰🇫🇷
Bonjour mes chéries! It’s Saturday, so that means it's time for another #PinkTutuBlogParis post. And this week, my darling readers, I am in the most magical city in the world, Paris!
Yes, darling, I’ve made the trip from my humble Derbyshire home to the City of Lights, by Eurostar, naturally. It’s always a glamorous and magical journey, whizzing through the countryside at over 300 kilometres per hour in my very pink tulle outfit! 😉 I simply adore the feeling of the train's gentle swaying and the rhythm of the tracks, it always gets me feeling very ballet-inspired.
This trip is all about exploring Parisian fashion, theatre, and of course, ballet. As usual, I’ve brought along a suitcase full of pink tutus, because there's no better way to express your joie de vivre in Paris, and I wouldn't dream of going out in anything else!
So let me tell you about my exciting day!
Breakfast at a Parisian Cafe
I started my day in the most delightful way imaginable, with a Parisian breakfast in a quaint little café in Montmartre. It was all about those buttery croissants, frothy cappuccino, and a touch of raspberry jam. My morning outfit was a vibrant pink tutu, paired with a classic black beret, naturally!
Stepping Into the Parisian Art Scene
Then, off to the Musée d'Orsay, my loves. I simply adore their Impressionist collection. The colours! The energy! It's pure inspiration! I found myself lost in a world of light and movement, captivated by the artistry of Renoir, Monet, and Degas. Seeing the ballerinas depicted by Degas always fills my heart with joy, those dancers are truly captivating. My pink tulle definitely made me feel like one of their elegant muses. I felt like I had stepped into one of their paintings.
Taking in a Performance at the Palais Garnier
I knew the day had to involve a ballet performance, right? This is, after all, Paris, home to some of the world's finest dancers. So, this evening, I am off to the stunning Palais Garnier to watch the Paris Opera Ballet perform "Giselle". I simply can't wait to lose myself in the beautiful storytelling through dance and the dramatic score.
A Chic Parisian Dinner
Afterwards, I have reservations at the cutest little bistro in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. I adore the romance of those Parisian streets with their cobbled streets and tiny cafe tables tucked into corners. It’s the perfect backdrop to indulge in my Parisian love affair with French cuisine, a delicious steak frites, and a glass of red wine, natch. My outfit, well, you guessed it - pink, pink and more pink!
Discovering Parisian Fashion
The beauty of Paris, as you all know, is it's vibrant, fashion forward spirit, and shopping is absolutely an essential part of any Parisian trip. So tomorrow, my dears, we'll be venturing into the fashion havens of the Marais, stopping in those gorgeous boutiques and designer stores!
I'm planning to browse for some gorgeous statement jewellery, the perfect accessories for my pink tutus, of course. I might even indulge in a chic Parisian hat for those rainy days in Paris! Maybe a little Chanel, darling.
A Pink Tutu Revolution
Every week on Pink-Tutu.com, I get loads of messages from my lovely readers. They love my tutus and many of them even ask how they can make the tutu world their own. My aim, darling, is for everyone to find their inner tutu goddess. So when I visit new cities I try to make it a mission to spread the tutu love! If you see me in Paris - I’m definitely wearing pink - don't be shy, come and say hi, and you can even ask about my favorite tutu stores and where I find those darling vintage dresses I adore.
A Final Word from Your Pink Tutu Girl
Remember darlings, the Parisian spirit is about being playful, fashionable and living life to the fullest, always in style. So go ahead and embrace your own inner ballerina. Live it up! It’s what makes Paris the City of Lights and me, your pink-loving tutu girl, happier than ever!
Au revoir mes chéries, and see you next week with my Paris adventure update. Until then, stay fabulous,
Love always,
Emma
