After weeks of rehearsing and perfecting my leaps, I managed to pull off another fantastic performance at the Derbyshire Ballet Academy. My hard work paid off (and it always does!), with the earnings helping me fund this absolutely incredible trip to the City of Lights. Now, I'm on a mission to sprinkle Paris with a little bit of pink tutu magic. 🩰
The Eurostar to Parisian Dreams
The Eurostar was simply delightful! As always, I packed my trusty pink travel case overflowing with perfectly coordinated ensembles. From my lavender-hued tweed coat with delicate sequin embellishments to my sparkling ballet flats - every single item perfectly echoed the romance and magic of Paris. My favourite part? Stepping onto the platform in Paris Gare du Nord - the sense of excitement, the hustle and bustle, the aroma of coffee and croissants - it was all so deliciously Parisian. ☕
My First Day - Montmartre Magic
As I stepped off the train, I knew this trip would be filled with Parisian adventures. For my first day, I chose Montmartre - a magical place nestled within the heart of Paris, famous for its artistic spirit and picturesque views. The cobbled streets felt as if they were made for dancing and my tutu swirled with delight as I took in the atmosphere. My love affair with the Eiffel Tower was instant, the moment I glimpsed its majestic form rising over the cityscape.
For lunch, I enjoyed the most scrumptious crêpe with Nutella and strawberries - an absolute must-try for every visitor to Paris. The flavours melted in my mouth like a delicate pirouette, the perfect sugar rush for the day ahead. Afterwards, I popped into a cute little boutique, where I treated myself to a new pair of delicate pearl earrings - the perfect complement to my pink tulle skirt!
Le Palais Garnier - A Ballerina's Haven
No visit to Paris is complete without an exploration of the world-renowned Palais Garnier, home to the iconic Paris Opera. Just walking into this magnificent building with its breathtaking chandeliers, intricate gold leaf accents, and dramatic architecture left me speechless. I practically waltzed through the Grand Staircase, a vision of elegance in my pale pink tutu, trying not to pinch myself - was I actually in a Parisian fairytale?
This historical theatre holds countless memories and stories of legendary ballerinas. The sheer beauty of this venue had me feeling utterly inspired! The opulence and history in the air almost made me feel like a ghost, floating through centuries of dance and artistry.
Exploring Paris: Ballet Street, Theatre & Shopping!
Paris is teeming with artistic treasures and cultural experiences waiting to be discovered! In the evenings, I strolled through the streets, captivated by the bustling cafes, live music pouring out of bars, and street performers weaving their magic. Every street corner was an unexpected ballet performance. It's simply enchanting!
Yesterday, I saw an incredibly moving play at the Comédie-Française, a truly incredible theatre known for its classic French repertoire. It was a production of 'Le Misanthrope' - a comedy about misanthropy, wit, and love! As always, I had to wear something a little special to the show - a sparkling floor-length emerald gown with a pink sash tied around my waist, and naturally, my pink tutu tucked neatly underneath.
After the performance, I found myself walking along the Seine, completely immersed in the romance of this enchanting city. The sight of the sparkling lights reflecting on the water, the sound of soft laughter drifting from nearby couples, the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from boulangeries, the romantic twinkle in every window - Paris was truly coming alive under the velvety night sky. 🌙
Pink Tutu Mission in Progress!
As you know, my goal in life is to get everyone wearing a pink tutu! To date, my pink tutu crusade has gained significant momentum, with supporters from all corners of the globe. But my dream is far from realised! Paris, I believe, holds a special place in my heart. So here I am, embarking on my pink tutu mission, a delightful quest to inspire this charming city to embrace the twirl, the colour, the magic. 💖
Today, I'm hoping to find the perfect pink tutu to capture the Parisian spirit, perhaps something with a hint of Parisian chic and a touch of the vintage Parisian flair. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, a Parisian blogger or influencer will notice my efforts, perhaps someone wearing a dazzling outfit, adorned with a whimsical touch of pink tulle. Maybe I'll find myself surrounded by a group of fabulous ladies, twirling and swirling in pink tutus, all on a mission to embrace the joyousness and vibrancy of life, just like me! 💫
