Pink Tutu Paris: Post #750 - A Whirlwind Weekend in the City of Lights!

Bonjour mes amies!

It’s Emma here, and you’re all tuning in live from Paris for this week’s Pink Tutu Paris adventure. Yes, my friends, the Eurostar whisked me away on another enchanting escapade to the most magical city on earth. Paris, oh Paris, how I love you! The twinkling lights, the romantic charm, the delectable pastries, and of course
 the fabulous fashion!

It's Saturday, 10th of May 2014, and my heart is already brimming with memories. The journey was utterly delightful, as always. It never fails to amaze me how the Eurostar can take you from the rolling hills of Derbyshire, England, to the heart of Paris in a mere few hours. Imagine, sipping a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea while watching the scenery change from lush green fields to sprawling French countryside, all while envisioning my weekend ahead. Bliss!

And Paris
darling, you didn't disappoint! As soon as I arrived, I felt the familiar thrill of the City of Lights tingling through me. There’s something about Paris that makes even the most mundane activities feel utterly fabulous! The scent of freshly baked bread, the charming cobblestone streets, the gentle tinkling of the cafĂ© bells
every sight, smell, and sound adds to this wonderful, unique energy that's oh so Paris.

And of course, my weekend was filled with pink tutu perfection! Now, I know some of you are thinking, "Emma, isn't it a bit much to wear a tutu around Paris?" But darlings, when it comes to fashion, anything is possible! My mantra? Confidence and flair! And my trusty tutu
well, let's just say it’s a walking, twirling testament to that philosophy.

First stop: The Ballet Opera Garnier. A true Parisian icon! I have to confess, I felt like I’d stepped into a scene from the film "Moulin Rouge!" – shimmering lights, a grand chandelier cascading down from the ceiling, the most intricate details everywhere you looked. The ballet itself, “La Sylphide”, was enchanting! A romantic and graceful dance with captivating choreography, I couldn’t help but tap my foot in rhythm, even during the quietest moments.

After the show, a quick hop across the street to Le Bon MarchĂ© – a wonderland for all things elegant and fashionable. From chic accessories to gorgeous couture, the place had me twirling with joy. Imagine my delight when I found the most adorable pink ballet flats, a perfect addition to my Parisian ensemble!

Dinner that evening was a Parisian experience par excellence – a charming bistro, dim lights, and delicious French cuisine. As I twirled my way through a delectable platter of cheese, wine, and freshly baked bread, I truly felt like I was living in a fairytale.

Sunday was for strolling. It was the kind of sunny, warm day that begs for leisurely exploration. I started with a charming little tea shop tucked away in the Latin Quarter – tea, cake, and a good dose of people watching, the perfect way to start the day! Later, I ventured to the MusĂ©e Rodin - an open-air sculpture park, filled with iconic sculptures by the great master. Walking amongst such magnificent pieces, surrounded by verdant green, truly put me in touch with the artistic side of my heart.

And finally, as the sun began to dip towards the horizon, I wandered down the bustling Champs-ÉlysĂ©es, its grandeur and excitement always drawing me back in. Paris by night truly has its own magical charm.

But as I always say, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to its most magical place: The Eiffel Tower. Standing at the top, the city sprawled out beneath me, I felt an overwhelming sense of awe. I had to do it! A graceful, pink tutu twirl atop the most famous monument in the world, with the glittering city lights behind me. A perfect picture, if I do say so myself.

And as my train whisked me away from this magical city once again, I already found myself counting down the days until my next adventure to Paris! You never know, darlings, I may even try and persuade a few Parisians to join me in a pink tutu flash mob! Who knows, the trend might just catch on
 laughs

See you all next Saturday for my next Paris post. Au revoir!
