Pink Tutu Blog Paris - #769 - A Tutuful Parisian Adventure!

Bonjour mes chères amies! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, back with another Parisian adventure, this time from the City of Lights itself! Oh la la, the cobbled streets, the charming cafes, the stunning architecture... Paris is truly magical. This week I'm sharing a snippet of my whirlwind weekend here, complete with ballet, shopping, and a dash of pink, of course!

I hopped on the Eurostar from Derbyshire, England, and was whisked away to the French capital in no time at all. The Eurostar is my favourite way to travel; it’s so relaxing, especially in first class where they serve delicious afternoon tea with delicate finger sandwiches and scrumptious pastries.

After checking into my gorgeous hotel (and changing into my sparkly pink tutu for the occasion, because you can never be overdressed in Paris, darling!), I went straight out to explore the heart of the city. Walking past the Eiffel Tower was like a scene out of a fairytale, the sparkling lights reflecting in the Seine River.

Speaking of fairytales, my trip wouldn't be complete without a dose of ballet. Tonight's performance at the Palais Garnier was the divine "Giselle", featuring the breathtaking costumes and choreography that have me completely enamoured. Every single detail of the show, from the ballerinas’ tutus to the exquisite sets, was an explosion of artistry. I was transported to a world of passion and grace. I even spotted a couple of pink tutus amongst the audience, proving that my pink-tutu mission is spreading across the globe!

Now, on to the shopping! I wouldn’t be a proper blogger without a mention of the fabulous Parisian boutiques. My favourites include the chic and sophisticated Rue Saint-Honoré, which offers designer pieces to die for. Then there's the bohemian charm of the Marais, with its vintage shops and independent boutiques bursting with unique finds. For something a little more budget-friendly, the stylish and trendy Rue de Rivoli never disappoints. I scored the cutest beret with a pink feather detail and a stunning scarf with intricate embroidery. Perfect for my Paris look, n’est-ce pas?

Food, fashion, and art - Paris has it all! It wouldn’t be right to leave without mentioning the delectable Parisian patisseries and cafes. A delightful cup of French coffee and a croissant for breakfast is a must, especially when you’re surrounded by such enchanting views. For lunch, I treated myself to a delicious quiche and a delicate green salad. And then for dinner? Well, I'll have to tell you about that another time!

Tomorrow I plan to take a stroll along the Seine and stop at Shakespeare & Co, one of my favourite bookstores, where the bookshelves overflow with treasures and stories from every corner of the world. I also want to explore the Louvre Museum. You just never know what you might find there. Maybe a hidden pink tutu?!

Stay tuned, darlings! I'll be posting more about my Parisian adventures next Saturday, and perhaps you'll see my lovely pink tutu gracing the Louvre itself... À bientôt!
