Pink Tutu Blog: Paris Adventures! (#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 768)
Bonjour mes amis! It’s Saturday, and as usual, that means a new Paris blog post! 🩰💖
It feels like forever since I last took the EuroStar to Paris – which always reminds me of the fabulous trip with my mum when I was just 16! But this time, I’m flying solo, and I can’t wait to tell you all about my amazing adventures this week. Remember my trip to Florence in July? I've been doing a load of ballet performances – I even managed to pull in enough to fund this amazing Parisian escape! 🇫🇷
This week has been a whirlwind of everything a Pink Tutu loving ballerina could possibly want, with just a hint of Parisian flair thrown in! As you all know, the colour pink is my absolute favourite, so Paris, the city of romance and love, with all those beautiful buildings and pink-tinged sunsets – is basically my dream destination! 🌸
First up, fashion – Paris is a shopping haven for any girly girl, and I have found the most fabulous tutu-inspired designs for my next performance! I got a divine pink chiffon tutu with iridescent silver trim from a tiny boutique in Le Marais – imagine a Parisian ballerina with a beautiful, airy tutu… and you’ll get a glimpse of what my latest purchase will look like onstage.
I love browsing for vintage clothes, and my most fabulous find this week is a gorgeous pale pink mohair cardigan that screams ‘classic Parisian style’ to me! I snagged it from a tiny vintage shop in the 10th arrondissement - you just never know what hidden treasures you can find if you go exploring off the beaten path! 💕
Of course, no Parisian trip is complete without some delicious food! A stop at Pierre Hermé’s patisserie was non-negotiable - the macarons were literally life-changing, and the buttery croissants were simply perfect. The delicate pastel shades were almost too beautiful to eat! 🥐🧁
Speaking of delicious treats, this week I had the most amazing afternoon tea at the Hotel Bristol! The delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and gorgeous assortment of pastries made for an utterly luxurious afternoon – it was like stepping into a French fairy tale! The highlight was undoubtedly the rose petal infused tea - divine! ☕🌸
Saturday is always ballet day, so naturally, I made sure to check out the program at the Opéra Garnier. It was truly breathtaking! They are staging Giselle next week, which is absolutely one of my favourite ballets! It has all the passion, grace, and romanticism that I look for in a ballet production! Plus, those stunning tutus are simply exquisite! 🤩
The most magical experience though was a ballet street performance that I stumbled upon in the Jardin du Luxembourg. Watching a ballerina perform under the Parisian sky, with the scent of flowers and the sounds of children laughing in the background… it was the most romantic and whimsical experience, just like straight out of a ballet! 💃
But let's talk about this glorious day – Saturday, 13th September. The sun is shining through the windows of my adorable little Airbnb flat in the 17th arrondissement, which has the cutest Parisian balcony and offers the most beautiful views over the city. The gentle sound of birds chirping and street musicians in the distance adds a touch of magic to my morning. 🌸☀️
I’ve just finished practicing my fouettés on my tiny Parisian balcony – it's the perfect way to start the day! You know I just had to wear my new pale pink tutu, even though it's a little bit cheeky for a balcony performance! 🩰
On the menu this morning: my absolute favourite Parisian breakfast of fresh fruit, pain au chocolat, and a strong black coffee! After my delicious breakfast, I’m going to take a stroll down the Champs-Élysées. Maybe even pop into one of the lovely little shops to browse for a new pair of pink ballet shoes – I am after all, a ballet ballerina with a bit of a pink tutu obsession!
As always, I’m so excited to share all my Paris adventures with you. Be sure to follow my Pink Tutu Blog each Saturday to keep up to date on my Parisian adventures. And remember – don’t forget to live your life in pink, one tutu at a time! 💕✨
