Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #798: A Parisian Dream in Pink

Bonjour, mes amies!

The Eurostar sped me through the channel tunnel, my heart thumping in time with the rhythmic clickety-clack of the train. This wasn't just a trip, it was a dream come true – a Parisian escapade for this tutu-clad adventurer! I've been yearning to explore the City of Lights for ages, and today, finally, my dream was unfolding.

The sun, bless its cotton socks, was shining as we pulled into Gare du Nord. I swear, even the Parisian air smelled a little more glamorous. With my pink tutu swirling around me like a bubblegum dream, I stepped onto the cobbled streets and felt like I’d walked straight onto a Parisian fairytale.

Parisian Shopping: A Tutu-licious Adventure

My first stop was, naturally, the glorious Galeries Lafayette! Honestly, I’ve never seen such a concentration of designer stores and couture wonders in one place. I gasped at the glittering window displays and felt a serious case of shopping fever coming on. The shoes! Oh, the shoes! Ballet pumps, heels, sparkly sandals…my bank account was quivering at the sight. But no matter. My dance performances pay handsomely, and it was time to splurge!

I found the most incredible pair of pink ballet flats with sparkly detailing that matched my tutu perfectly. Honestly, it felt like they were made just for me. After much happy humming and admiring in the mirror, I snatched them up and made a mental note to treat myself to another shopping trip tomorrow – I just can't get enough!

Ballet at the Opéra Garnier: A Breathtaking Performance

My evening was reserved for the most glorious cultural experience – a performance at the stunning Opéra Garnier! Now, I’ve seen plenty of ballet in my Derbyshire hometown, but nothing quite prepared me for this majestic spectacle. The opulence, the elegance, the incredible music… It took my breath away.

The dancers were so graceful, so elegant, I almost cried. I watched with a giddy smile, my pink tutu bouncing with excitement as I savoured every moment. This wasn't just a performance; it was an explosion of beauty and art, a testament to the power of movement and the human spirit. I vowed to visit the ballet again and again while I’m in Paris.

A Tutu-fied Stroll by the Seine

After the opera, I strolled along the Seine, its shimmering waters reflecting the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. This is where the romantic spirit of Paris truly came alive. Lovers strolling hand in hand, artists sketching under the moonlight, the gentle hum of laughter… it felt like something out of a film.

And I, my dear friends, was living it!

With my tutu flowing behind me like a whispered promise, I savored every moment, my heart full to bursting. This day had exceeded all expectations, overflowing with Parisian magic. But I’m not finished yet! There’s so much more to explore – museums, parks, cafés, maybe even another shopping trip.

Stay tuned for next week’s Parisian adventure, when I share my adventures at the Louvre, a wander through the Marais, and perhaps even some yummy Parisian pastries. Stay glamorous, stay fabulous, and remember, wear pink!

Bisous, Emma

Fashion Focus: Tutu Style in Paris

Okay, you know I can't resist talking about outfits! My look today was all about Parisian chic meets ballet princess.

Outfit:

  • My Signature Pink Tutu: A vibrant pink tulle tutu, full of bounce and sparkle! Perfect for twirling and feeling fabulous.
  • White Lace Blouse: Feminine and romantic, with a delicate floral pattern that complemented the tutu perfectly.
  • Pink Ballet Flats: Those sparkly gems! I paired them with a classic white lace ballerina flat that added a touch of elegance and practicality.
  • French Beret: A classic touch! I chose a pink one, of course, to add a little French flair.

I completed the look with a simple pink ribbon in my hair and a classic pink tote bag – a perfect mix of fashion and function!

A Tip for Tutu-Wearing Travellers: For long days of exploring, I suggest a tutu bag that folds up easily! This one came with me in a compact pouch, then sprang into action as I wandered through Paris.
