#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #812: Parisian Dreams in Pink! 🩰💖
Bonjour mes amis!
It's Saturday, the 18th of July, and I'm absolutely bursting with excitement to share my Parisian adventures with you! As you know, Paris is the city that truly speaks to my pink tutu heart. The romance, the charm, the fashion - it's simply divine.
This time, my journey to Paris was a dream come true thanks to the Eurostar. It was such a smooth and stylish way to arrive in this magical city. I felt like a Parisian heroine in my pale pink, tulle-trimmed coat, sipping on a delicious coffee and gazing at the countryside flitting by.
I’m always looking for a bit of adventure on my trips. So for my first stop, I ventured into the captivating world of the Moulin Rouge. Yes, that's right! I was a can-can away from the iconic windmill itself. I'd been longing to experience this Parisian institution and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations.
The Moulin Rouge's history is rich, bursting with colour and glittering with a bohemian, decadent air. Stepping into the theatre was like entering a different time, with the velvet-draped seats and intricate gilded decor. I even spotted a beautiful, crimson pink tutu on stage! A must for every tutu-loving ballet dancer and a symbol of Parisian elegance. The whole show was pure theatre, with dazzling costumes and high-kicking dancers. They were so powerful and graceful, I found myself mesmerised!
After the Moulin Rouge, I went to explore some of the city's most fashionable streets. I even found myself in a Parisian department store – just the kind that gets a ballerina’s pulse racing! They had an incredible selection of beautiful, chic shoes – including some very elegant, ballerina-style pumps with an extra dash of pink, of course!
Shopping Paradise
There's no better feeling than discovering a new store that perfectly embodies your personal style. I discovered a treasure trove called "La Boutique de Mademoiselle", nestled in a charming cobblestone street. The boutique was just bursting with the most adorable pink items imaginable - from satin ballet flats with delicate pearl details, to whimsical floral-printed scarves, and even a gorgeous, frilly pink beret! Of course, I had to indulge myself with a few new pink treasures.
It would be almost sacrilege to go to Paris and not indulge in the iconic pastries, so naturally, a trip to a Parisian patisserie was an absolute necessity! It’s simply delightful. I am just a sucker for anything in pastel shades of pink. Imagine a delightful meringue with soft pink sugar. It is simply perfection!
The best part of exploring a new city? Discovering those little hidden gems that make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret haven. On this journey, I found a ballet class nestled within a charming courtyard - it’s like a secret haven for dancers, I'm telling you! Imagine - Parisian sunshine pouring in through the high arched windows while we gracefully stretched and spun, and I found myself thinking this was possibly the best ballet class I’ve ever taken. It's so nice to share my love of ballet with fellow dancers, all united by our passion for this graceful art. There’s truly nothing more magical. We may even be inspiring a few to join us in our little Pink Tutu Revolution.
The French definitely know how to embrace life's simple pleasures. You can find me enjoying an iced latte, sipping slowly from a dainty pink cup, watching the Parisian life around me unfold. It truly is an enchanting way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.
This evening, we will take in a performance of Romeo and Juliet at the famous Theatre des Champs-Élysées. This iconic location will add even more sparkle and glamour to an already magical trip. It truly has that elegant air, a bit like waltzing through the Grand Palais.
So, my lovely tutu-wearing readers, until next time, be sure to add some extra pink to your life. Be sure to look out for my new post on www.pink-tutu.com next Saturday! And remember, wherever you are in the world, remember that the Paris of your dreams can come alive with a little pink tutu magic and a touch of joie de vivre!
See you soon,
Emma 💖🩰
