Pink Tutu Blog Paris: Post #815 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!
Saturday, 2015-08-08
Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your favourite tutu-wearing ballerina, ready to share another Parisian adventure with you. This week, I’m buzzing after a whirlwind trip to the City of Lights, where my heart practically did a pirouette at every turn!
First things first – the EuroStar. My goodness, that train is so chic! I slipped into my favourite blush pink ensemble – a twirling tutu paired with a delicate white lace top and ballet flats (with just a hint of sparkle, of course). The journey was a dream – all those gorgeous views whizzing by, the feeling of a new adventure on the horizon… my heart just fluttered with excitement.
Once in Paris, the first stop was for a traditional French pastry and a hot chocolate – I couldn’t resist a charming little cafe nestled in a quaint side street. The cafe was like something out of a painting, all floral patterned chairs, marble tables and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Perfection!
Shopping Heaven in Paris
I then made my way to one of my favourite shopping destinations – the iconic department store Galeries Lafayette! It’s truly an experience, with the stunning glass dome flooding the building with natural light. It's a haven for fashion-forward dreams, a veritable kaleidoscope of colours and textures. I spent a glorious afternoon exploring, browsing for the perfect Parisian souvenir. Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without some fashion finds, and I treated myself to a beautiful pair of ballet flats with a delicate blush pink bow. They were calling my name, "Emma, darling, you need us!".
A Dance Through the Parisian Night
In the evening, I caught a breathtaking performance of "Swan Lake" at the Palais Garnier. The opulence of the theatre was truly awe-inspiring – it’s hard to imagine the grandeur of it all without seeing it in person. And the dancing! The ballerinas glided across the stage with such grace and elegance, their movements telling a story of love, tragedy, and redemption. Every leap, every twirl, sent shivers down my spine – truly a mesmerising experience!
After the performance, I indulged in a romantic stroll along the Seine, stopping to admire the illuminated Eiffel Tower in all its glory. As I watched the twinkling lights dance in the night sky, I felt a sense of magic that only Paris can evoke.
Sunday Brunch in a Parisian Garden
On Sunday morning, I woke to the gentle sound of birdsong, and a beautiful sunshine filled my hotel room. This meant just one thing - time for a decadent brunch in a beautiful Parisian garden. I enjoyed every moment of this beautiful Parisian experience; it really is all about the simple joys of life!
My time in Paris whizzed by, but the memories are truly special. Paris, with its beautiful buildings, stunning scenery, fabulous fashion, delicious food, and magical ambiance, will forever be a city close to my heart. It really did fill my life with so much beauty and inspiration!
Until next time, I wish you all happy dancing, lots of beautiful clothes and unforgettable experiences! Remember – life’s a dance, so embrace the music, twirl with confidence, and wear your pink tutus proudly.
Love & Sparkles,
Emma
P.S. I am back in England, back to my busy routine of performing, choreographing, teaching ballet. This all funds my fabulous travel plans and lets me share the wonderful experiences of being a travelling tutu-wearing ballerina with you, my gorgeous readers.
Next Week's Blog Post: A day in London - exploring museums and having a spot of afternoon tea. Until then...don't forget to twirl!
