Pink Tutu Paris - Post 817: Bonjour from the City of Lights!
Saturday 2015-08-22
Hello, darling! Welcome back to Pink Tutu Paris, where the Eiffel Tower shimmers, the croissants are always fresh, and the only thing better than a pink tutu is a pink tutu in Paris!
This week, I've traded in the rolling hills of Derbyshire for the cobbled streets of the City of Love. My heart's aflutter, just like the first time I saw a Parisian waltz on stage - it's pure magic!
My journey began with the ultimate sartorial experience: a pink tutu-themed EuroStar outfit! I donned my favourite blush tulle masterpiece (you'll see the full look on my Instagram soon) and slipped into a comfortable pair of rose gold ballerina flats. The EuroStar itself was pure luxury; it's almost like travelling in your own private carriage, minus the horses and royal servants (thank heavens!).
After arriving in Paris, my senses were immediately overwhelmed by the sights, sounds and scents. The aroma of fresh bread mingled with the gentle hum of street musicians, all bathed in the warm glow of the afternoon sun. It's a symphony of sensations I can't resist.
First stop, a little stroll down the Champs-Élysées! My Parisian dream closet was waiting for me, full of stylish outfits that just screamed, "Pink Tutu Girl!" I indulged in some elegant floral headbands, a chic Parisian scarf that could be styled in a dozen different ways (all perfect for a pink tutu, naturally) and the most delicate lace gloves I've ever seen. This was not just shopping, this was an adventure!
And speaking of adventure, today was also the day I finally ticked an item off my Paris bucket list - a ballet show at the Palais Garnier! Oh my darling, it was pure heaven. The costumes, the dancers, the energy, the story... I was transported to another world, and for those precious hours, everything was beautiful, and pink, and filled with grace. The ballerinas wore blush-coloured tutus with crystal embellishments and shimmering silver slippers, their movements like a dream woven in light and grace.
Afterwards, I found myself in the most charming little cafe in the Latin Quarter. A plate of French fries and a cup of perfectly brewed tea. The little Parisian cat nestled into my lap, purring happily. Life was perfect.
But you know, life isn't always a Parisian dream. It's also about the little moments, the laughter, the spontaneous moments that make the trip even more special. Last night, I discovered a little secret Parisian treasure - a street performer doing a brilliant, energetic solo ballet routine! The entire crowd was cheering - it was beautiful and a reminder that magic is everywhere, even in the heart of a bustling city.
Paris is truly a city that will captivate you. Its timeless elegance, its delicious pastries, and the way the sunlight dances on the Seine River. But the best thing about Paris? Well, darling, I think you already know: it's the perfect place to wear your pink tutu and embrace your inner ballerina.
Until next week, darling! Au revoir!
