Pink Tutu Travels: Paris - Bonjour, ChƩrie! (Post #828)
Bonjour, my lovely readers!
It's Emma here, writing to you live from the most romantic city in the world - Paris! I've just stepped off the EuroStar, the journey was utterly delightful. The chugging of the train, the swaying rhythm, it felt almost like a dance! (I actually caught myself twirling my way through the carriages, giggling like a little girl. Shhh! Don't tell anyone, okay? A ballerinaās gotta have a bit of fun!)
As I said, I'm here in Paris, for a whole week, all thanks to a string of lovely ballet performances back in Derbyshire. Now, donāt get me wrong, Derbyshire is absolutely beautiful - especially this time of year - but Paris! Ah la la, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the cobbled streetsā¦ It's like a fairytale, but a chic, fashion-forward fairytale.
Fashionable Flair & Flawless Pink
The first thing I did upon arriving in Paris was to hit the shops, because shopping is an artform - a very beautiful artform - in this city! And thereās just something about Paris that makes me want to embrace all the colour pink, especially in a pink tulle tutu (who am I kidding? My tutu never leaves my side! It's my good luck charm and fashion statement all rolled into one.)
Honestly, you've never seen so many beautiful colours and fabrics. The shops here are like treasure chests filled with velvet, silk, lace, and every other imaginable luxury material! Of course, I treated myself to a few little Parisian treats: a gorgeous new pink cashmere cardigan (because Parisian winters can be a little chilly!), a divine pair of sparkling earrings, and of course, a little souvenir for the blog - a very stylish beret, in pink, naturellement!
Bonjour, Ballet!
But shopping isnāt all! You know me, a week in Paris wouldnāt be complete without a trip to the Opera Garnier - it's such a stunning building, just exquisite! Today Iām heading to watch āLa Bayadere,ā and I'm absolutely thrilled. You know me, a little tutu wearing ballerina can never get enough of a good ballet show. It makes me want to twirl!
Pink Tutu & Parisienne Panache:
Oh, Iāve already noticed something else that Paris is full of! So many fabulous fashionistas - you can see it on every street! From stylish Parisian women to the most chic dog walkers, everyone's dressed to impress. It makes me want to grab a pink tutu and join in! In fact, maybe I will!
But even more important, this trip to Paris isnāt just about the beautiful things. Itās about inspiration. Inspiration to be creative. Inspiration to create something new and beautiful, something that speaks to your heart and brings a bit of magic to your life, just like a pink tutu brings magic to my life.
*Join me, my dear friends, in exploring the wonder and beauty of Paris! Weāll be back next Saturday for another fabulous installment from my Parisian adventure! See you then, and donāt forget - pink is always in style, so get your tutu ready! Au revoir!ā *

I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful La Bayadere was - it truly was divine! The music was beautiful, the dancers incredible. They twirled, they leaped, they moved with a grace that left me in awe. Itās inspired me, you can be sure of that - Iām going to incorporate those lovely flowing movements in my own dancing.
The costumes were stunning, particularly those worn by the women - elegant silhouettes that perfectly echoed the grace and beauty of their movements. Did I mention how much I loved those elaborate headdresses, a beautiful mix of jewels and flowers. Paris really does inspire!
Iām also discovering the amazing things you can eat in Paris! The patisseries here are simply delectable! I canāt help but sample a pastry or two with my morning coffee, and I'm discovering all sorts of beautiful, creative tarts, cakes, macarons, and pastries in delightful shapes and colors.

Ah, I have so much more to tell you about Paris! Yesterday I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the ballet being performed by some wonderful local dance school students outside the Garnier Opera. They looked utterly delightful in their simple but charming ballerina dresses and pink tutus!
Even though their performances were smaller scale than the Opera Ballet, their talent shined through in every leap and turn. You could really feel their love for dancing in their beautiful moves. The streets around the Garnier became like a stage!
And then thereās the Louvreā¦ what an experience that was. Imagine - statues that seemed to dance - beautiful shapes and forms, just like ballerinas! And then I spotted this amazing installation by French Artist Yves Klein, featuring a spectacular display of vivid blue pigment! It was quite magical, almost like being immersed in the artistās own inner world
Of course, I couldnāt visit Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower, and wow, just wow! Itās really something else, especially at night when its sparkling lights are twinkling like thousands of miniature stars against the evening sky!
I know that I've been busy enjoying the sights, but donāt worry, I will be sharing my pink fashion finds with you all very soon.
