Pink Tutu Blog: Paris Adventures (Post #829)
Bonjour mes chéries! It's Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights! I know, I know, I can barely believe it myself – your girl in a pink tutu, traipsing through the cobbled streets of Paris! This week’s trip is extra special, fuelled by my absolute love of Parisian charm and my very own dream of exploring every corner of this magical city.
This weekend's adventure, brought to you by my ever-reliable EuroStar (which, let's be honest, is the best way to travel across Europe) has whisked me right to the heart of French culture.
As soon as I arrived at Gare du Nord, a whirlwind of romance and elegance hit me – my eyes wide with the magic of Paris. I instantly spotted a café, its awning striped in pink and white (my favourite combo!), and I knew this was the start of something special.
Day 1: Ballet Dreams and Boutiques
The day kicked off with a breakfast of perfectly crusty croissants and strong café au lait, which fuelled my early morning wanderings through the bustling streets. The air buzzed with energy, with everyone flitting about, effortlessly stylish in their Parisian chic.
As always, a little boutique therapy was definitely in order. My first stop was the oh-so-charming, Le Bon Marché, a glorious treasure trove of luxury brands and quirky finds. I couldn't resist a pair of rose-gold ballet flats, perfect for dancing the streets of Paris. My shopping bag felt a little lighter after that!
My Parisian dream, however, wasn't complete without seeing some actual ballet. And oh boy, did the ballet in Paris live up to the hype! I attended a performance at the prestigious Opéra Garnier – a magnificent architectural marvel with its glittering chandeliers and plush red velvet seats. The performance itself was simply breathtaking; the graceful dancers, the exquisite costumes, the soaring melodies… a magical evening for this ballet-obsessed girl.
Day 2: Seine Stroll and French Fashion
The Parisian sunshine streamed in through my hotel window, and it was a gorgeous day for an afternoon stroll along the Seine. There’s something about walking along that iconic river with its bridges, street performers, and picturesque buildings, that makes me feel completely at peace.
The sights of Paris never cease to amaze me! Every corner feels like a photo-op – from the imposing Eiffel Tower, standing proud against the backdrop of the clear blue sky, to the charming architecture of the Louvre and Notre-Dame. It’s no wonder that this city is a haven for photographers, and for my Instagram feed.
As always, fashion is front and center on my travels. I spent an afternoon at the Marais district, a melting pot of chic boutiques and vintage gems, with the most eclectic mix of fashion, from Parisian cool to retro chic. Of course, I had to try on a few vintage finds, all the while dreaming about wearing my favourite pink tutu around the city.
Day 3: The Taste of Paris
One of the best parts of any European trip is the delicious food. Parisian cuisine, from the humble bistro to the decadent patisserie, is truly a symphony of flavour. On my last day, I indulged in a picnic by the river Seine. My spread included: a creamy Brie, baguette, some crisp green salad, a juicy apple, and of course, some delectable macarons – always my ultimate French indulgence.
Before heading back to the station, I simply couldn’t resist one last stop – the famous Palais Garnier. I knew I had to feel the grandness of the palace again. From its grand staircase and elaborate decor, the palace itself is an exquisite work of art – I just can’t imagine this magnificent building ever leaving my memory.
Pink Tutu Style In Paris
Of course, I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't bring a touch of my trademark pink tutu style to the Parisian streets. Let me tell you, walking around the City of Lights in a twirling pink tutu was an experience like no other! I turned heads wherever I went, making friends with fellow tourists, shop assistants, and even some street musicians who serenaded me with joyful French melodies!
Tutu Time In Paris!
My Paris trip was all about exploring the city through my favourite colour – pink – and twirling in my signature pink tutu, of course. My week was filled with Parisian delights and a lot of fun. It's the perfect combination of history, culture, and that undeniable French elegance I adore so much!
Until next week, stay stylish! XOXO Emma
