#PinkTutuBlogParis: A Pink Tutu Paradise in Paris! (Post #851)
Bonjour mes chéries! It's Saturday again, which means it's time for a brand new #PinkTutuBlogParis post, direct from the City of Lights! As you all know, my aim in life is to get everyone wearing a pink tutu. And darling, let me tell you, I'm making great strides! Just yesterday, I spotted a little girl in a pink tutu in a Parisian park - how utterly divine!
I arrived in Paris on Thursday, whizzing in on the Eurostar - I simply love that train. I had the most delightful little compartment, all comfy and plush, perfect for a ballerina on the go! And to top it off, I was surrounded by fellow tutu-wearers! A lovely French lady in a blush pink tulle number was chatting away about the latest Paris Ballet season, and a dapper gentleman with a brilliant crimson bow-tie, was clearly enthralled by my pink sequinned ballet bag - he even asked me for dance lessons! I mean, wouldn't you be, with a handbag that fabulous?
This week I've been fully embracing the Parisian spirit - indulging in fabulous macarons, snapping pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower in a delightful tulle skirt and my trusty pink fedora (don't forget, darlings, a little headwear always makes the outfit), and sipping on the most exquisite rose tea in a quaint café by the Seine.
Saturday's Schedule
But before we get into all the fun, let me tell you what's on the agenda for today:
- Ballet class at the Ecole de Danse - I can't be in Paris without honing my technique. I'm looking forward to it; these studios are just magical and the instructors are top-notch. Don't worry, I'll be sharing my highlights with you on Instagram later, so you can join me virtually!
- A spot of shopping, naturally - you can't go to Paris and not explore the charming boutiques and chic fashion houses! My mission is to find the perfect pair of shoes for tonight's performance! A classic black satin pump, or maybe a modern pink platform, oh dear, decisions, decisions! I'm tempted by a little tulle skirt too… a girl can never have too much tulle, can she? I'll post photos of my finds on my blog tomorrow - let me know what you think!
- Tonight's Performance at the Palais Garnier - Oh darling, you simply can't beat the atmosphere at the Palais Garnier! It's a breathtaking building and, tonight, the Paris Opera Ballet are performing Giselle. Can you even believe it? My heart is already racing! The Paris Ballet are such incredible dancers, their technique is impeccable. I have a feeling it's going to be a truly memorable experience.
Pink Tutu Travel Tips
A few pink tutu travel tips from this pink-loving ballerina, straight from the streets of Paris:
- Always pack an extra pair of tights! Because sometimes things happen! One time I was caught in the rain in my tulle skirt - and let me tell you, nothing is more disastrous than damp tulle! A backup pair of tights, plus an umbrella, always saves the day!
- Embrace public transport! In my opinion, there's nothing more romantic than riding on a Parisian metro. A tutu certainly adds an air of whimsical sophistication. Just make sure your skirt doesn't get caught in the doors - embarrassing but a tutu tip!
- Dress for the occasion. Whether it's ballet class, a museum, or a casual stroll, always put your best pink tutu foot forward. If you are unsure, go for pink - it always makes a statement!
- Carry a spare hairband - you never know when you might need a little extra control over your curls. Let's face it, our hair can get wild sometimes! And don't forget a pink bow, just to add a touch of extra loveliness!
Have fun! This is, after all, the City of Lights, so enjoy every minute and embrace the magic of Paris with all your pink tutu-loving heart.
A Little Bit About Me:
For those of you who are new to my blog, I'm Emma, a ballerina and lover of all things pink! I'm originally from Derbyshire, a pretty little corner of England. You'll often find me wearing my signature pink tutu - sometimes it's classic and understated, sometimes it's bold and dramatic! My pink wardrobe isn't limited to tutus, though - think feather boas, pink polka dot dresses, and fluffy pink cardigans!
My mission, as I've mentioned before, is to get everyone wearing pink tutus. It might sound like a crazy dream, but I firmly believe the world is a better place with a touch of pink sparkle! So come join me on my journey to pink tutu-fied glory! Don't be afraid to be bold!
