#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #859: Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Hello gorgeous ballet lovers! It’s Emma here, and as usual, I’m back with another Parisian adventure from my #PinkTutuBlogParis series! Get ready to swirl your tutus, darling, because I've got so much to share!

As you all know, I absolutely love a good Eurostar journey. The journey across the Channel is just a perfect excuse to wear my cutest outfit and it really gets the adventure going! For this trip I opted for a darling vintage Chanel tweed jacket and of course, my pink tutu, in a lovely lavender hue that just popped with my Chanel.

When I arrived at Gare du Nord I literally squealed with joy! Paris, you are just magical!

Now, you know I can't resist a good ballet show, so my first stop was to grab tickets for the Bolshoi's production of "Swan Lake." You just have to see a "Swan Lake" performance at the OpĂ©ra Garnier, it’s like ballet royalty. I'm so excited!

This week’s adventures included:

Shopping Heaven!

Oh, the wonders of Parisian shopping! I am always thrilled to explore the chic boutiques on the Avenue Montaigne. I managed to snag the most exquisite pastel pink beret at a quaint little shop – it's just perfect for my pink tutu, naturally!

I adore finding beautiful, unusual stores, like the lovely, vintage boutique called "Les Friperies." I fell head-over-heels for a 1950’s era pink taffeta dress that I just knew would make a statement!

The French just have such an effortless style – they're the masters of fashion. And it's just so fun to be surrounded by such inspiration!

A Trip To The Eiffel Tower

Every visit to Paris needs an Eiffel Tower stop, right? This time, I decided to try the romantic climb up to the top.

After a tiring climb, the view from the top was just spectacular – you could see all of Paris in its glory! The Eiffel Tower is such a symbolic landmark, and it's a little slice of Paris magic you just have to experience!

Dining like a Parisian

After a long day of shopping and sightseeing, it was time to refuel with a delicious French feast! You know, I simply have to mention “CrĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e.” I adore French cuisine and this dish is a classic and my go-to dessert in the city!

I've had the most wonderful day exploring the City of Lights!

I hope you've enjoyed this little peek into my Pink Tutu Parisian adventures! Don’t forget to follow along for all the fun and updates!

And always, remember to rock that pink tutu – spread the pink tutu love, my friends!

Lots of love,

Emma x

Pink Tutu Diary: What’s happening in Paris on the 11th of June.

Saturday June 11th:

The famous Moulin Rouge always has a great performance – I’ve got tickets and I can’t wait! I’m in my favorite tutu - it’s red and black and it makes me feel like a Parisian show girl! It was made specially for me by a seamstress in Derbyshire, she doesn’t believe me when I told her I had so many tutus and would need more when I went on my tour. But, a girl has to be prepared, you know!

Events around the City:

  • “Paris is Alive” at the MusĂ©e d'Orsay: It's a super special art show showcasing a collection of early modern art - I just love to see art. I might try and get to see a modern art performance this weekend. There are lots of art displays in the Parisian cafes - and it's a great way to make it an event!
  • There’s a wonderful ‘Day for Fashion’ at Galeries Lafayette – my favorite department store. You know I love shopping, especially in Paris! I am planning to visit after the Moulin Rouge performance. They will be selling amazing clothing for summer at a discount, and the fashion show starts at 6pm! It's definitely something I’m adding to my itinerary!

My Top 3 Spots For Shopping

For my fashionistas out there, let’s get real – you gotta visit these iconic spots while you’re in Paris!

  1. Galeries Lafayette: As mentioned above - this one is a classic and you know it’s an insider secret. I love this place. I think they are known for the ladies that work here – they always give you a great suggestion.
  2. Les Halles: I have found the most amazing outfits at this wonderful location. There’s a mixture of vintage stores and more modern fashion pieces - it’s such a good vibe in here. I am in love with a retro vintage hat from a stall in Les Halles and I just have to find a new tutu to match it. I may need a second visit!
  3. Printemps Haussmann: I know you may be surprised, but I feel it’s one of those ‘old school’ boutiques that you just have to visit. I feel so fancy here, they even serve tea and you can wear a hat indoors, a lot of the French do! They are known for the haute couture but I always manage to find something nice at a reasonable price in their sales.

Pink Tutu Paris Adventure: 5 of my favorite memories
 so far!

Being in Paris with my pink tutu has already brought so much joy!

Here are just a few of my favorite memories, I am only on my 2nd day and I have had such an amazing time!

  1. I can’t get enough of the feeling of being in Paris! It’s just so alive, with its cobblestone streets, charming cafĂ©s, and amazing fashion everywhere. And I can’t forget the smell of croissants
 they are divine!

  2. Having afternoon tea at LadurĂ©e. I’m such a big fan of their macarons. Their beautiful pink packaging was made for pink tutu lovers.

  3. Enjoying a classic performance at the Palais Garnier. The opulence, the artistry, and the sheer joy of watching ballet dancers take to the stage! It’s magical.

  4. Taking a picnic with my pink tutu at the Luxembourg Gardens. It's such a beautiful space for a leisurely afternoon, it's really perfect to relax and take in the atmosphere. I even managed to find some lovely vintage items for sale at a nearby market - it was such a delight to find a gorgeous feather boa in the perfect pink shade!

  5. Simply feeling the love from the people. Parisians have been so kind and welcoming. Their fashion is incredible and it's so fun to people-watch!

Sharing the Pink Tutu Love!

Paris is truly a city that inspires creativity, from the architecture to the food to the fashion! I’ve seen lots of gorgeous outfits and I have to admit that I’ve spotted a few pink tutus. They are the best, it really does make a statement. It was so much fun to spot people enjoying my favorite pink tutu.

You all know my aim in life is to encourage every ballet-loving soul out there to embrace their inner pink tutu fairy! It's a symbol of whimsy, joy, and artistic spirit – all the things I adore! So wear it with confidence!

See you all next Saturday for more Pink Tutu adventures, I promise there will be lots more shopping and ballet!
