#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post Number 864: Paris, Ooh la la!
Saturday 16th July 2016
Bonjour mes chers amis! I’m back with another post from my whirlwind tour of the City of Lights! The Eurostar whisked me through the Channel Tunnel in a flash, and now I’m nestled in a charming little hotel right near the Seine. It’s practically bursting with Parisian charm, with floral-patterned wallpaper and a little balcony overlooking the cobbled street. Can you tell I'm absolutely smitten already?
Speaking of charm, this week’s outfit was truly a Parisian dream! I paired a gorgeous blush pink tulle tutu with a white crochet top. Think Parisian chic meets a sprinkle of fairytale magic. A touch of glitter, a swipe of pink lipstick, and voila! A ballet-inspired ensemble perfect for strolling through the streets of Paris. It even made a rather grumpy-looking old gentleman smile - who knew a little pink could brighten even the cloudiest Parisian day?
A Ballet Bonanza
Right after checking into the hotel, I was off to the Opéra Garnier for a simply divine performance of 'La Bayadère'. The grandeur of the opera house took my breath away! Every detail, from the grand staircase to the ornate chandeliers, screamed opulent luxury. And the ballet itself was a visual and emotional masterpiece. Every dancer, with their fluid movements and powerful expressions, transported me into the magical world of India. It was so captivating I practically forgot to take pictures! (Oops!).
The French Connection - A Trip to the Boutiques
Shopping in Paris is a whole experience in itself. This city has some of the most exquisite boutiques in the world! I've spent hours exploring the hidden gems in Le Marais and the trendy boutiques around the Champs-Élysées. It’s hard to resist those tempting shop windows – and the Parisian sales ladies are absolute experts at their craft. They seem to have an uncanny ability to find the perfect shade of pink, the perfect fabric, the perfect cut, to accentuate every woman’s individual style. The highlight of my shopping spree was undoubtedly finding the most divine little Parisian pink handbag at a boutique tucked away on a cobblestoned side street. I swear it’s like it was made for me!
A Day of Parisian Delights
And speaking of Parisian chic, I can't forget the food! Paris has a café for every taste and style, with every corner revealing a new culinary delight. Whether it’s enjoying a cup of café au lait and a pain au chocolat in the sunshine at a sidewalk café, indulging in a delectable Parisian pastry at a charming bakery, or savoring a gourmet dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, Parisian cuisine never disappoints. Every bite is a sensory adventure!
Finding Inspiration Everywhere
Walking through the city streets is an absolute feast for the eyes, with art, architecture, and street performers vying for my attention at every corner. Today I even saw a little boy trying to juggle while balancing on a unicycle. And there was this charming busker playing his accordion so sweetly that I just had to stop and tap my feet. It was like stepping into a movie scene, pure magic! I think the French truly understand the art of joie de vivre, and their love for the beauty and the unexpected just adds to the magic of Paris.
Fashion, Beauty, and Parisian Dreams
This evening, after a delicious French dinner of steak frites (the perfect post-ballet fuel, I swear!), I am planning to stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg and indulge in some people-watching. The Jardin du Luxembourg is the perfect spot for inspiration. I imagine Parisians have perfected the art of looking stylish at all times! Their effortless chic inspires me to embrace a touch of Parisian flair in my own style. Who knows, maybe I’ll even bump into a real-life ballerina… that would definitely be a pink-tutu-worthy moment!
Spread the Tutu Love
Don't forget to join the movement! Share your #pinktutu photos and adventures on Instagram and Twitter! I'd love to see your unique spin on this adorable trend. Who knows, maybe you’ll even inspire someone to don their own pink tutu and dance around the world!
Until next time,
Emma
