#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 869 - Saturday 2016-08-20: Parisian Dreams & Pink Tutu Delights!

Bonjour, darling tutu-lovers!

Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights! It's Saturday, which means it's time for another #PinkTutuBlogParis post - and what a glorious day it's been! The Parisian sun is shining, the air smells like croissants and liberté, and I'm twirling through the streets in a new pink tutu, naturally.

This week, I took the Eurostar straight to Paris after another fabulous performance at the Derby Playhouse. You know me, always juggling ballet and blogging! I can't even explain the excitement of leaving behind the Derbyshire hills for the grandeur of Gare du Nord. It's always a moment of pure magic stepping onto Parisian soil.

This time, I'm all about exploring the cultural side of Paris, indulging in ballet performances and the art of the Parisian stage. Today's agenda? Ballet! I spent the morning watching the most beautiful ballet at the Opéra Garnier - Giselle. Oh my word, it was pure artistry! The costumes, the dancers, the music, it was breathtaking. Even after seeing hundreds of shows, I can still feel the magic of live ballet wash over me. I absolutely have to get a tutu that looks like the ones the corps de ballet wore! Imagine it, darling, pink, delicate, and flowing...

Of course, after a morning of such inspiration, it was time to refuel. And where else could I go in Paris for a delightful lunch than Ladurée? Their macarons are like little edible works of art, don't you think? It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu adventure without a touch of sweetness, after all!

After lunch, I explored the area around the Palais Garnier - it was just too beautiful to leave so quickly. The streets around here are such a mix of Parisian elegance and Parisian charm. And did I mention how chic the French ladies are?! Every single woman in Paris has a timeless elegance, whether they're wearing a tailored suit or a vintage dress.

My new Paris obsession: Ballet street and theatre performances! You guys know how much I love them back home, and here in Paris it feels like there's a magical show around every corner. I'm completely captivated by the history of the Paris stage, the stories that linger in these old buildings, the energy of these performance spaces. Tonight, I'm off to see a charming little production called "Les Misérables" at the Théâtre du Châtelet. I hear the music is incredible! I just know I'll be humming it all week.

The hunt for the perfect tutu has been going on since the moment I stepped off the Eurostar, of course! I'm planning to spend tomorrow afternoon diving into some of the chic boutiques around Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. And let's not forget the iconic Galeries Lafayette - I hear they have a spectacular department devoted to haute couture!

To say I'm a little bit smitten with Paris is an understatement! This city has a magical way of making even the most mundane moment feel romantic.

Until next Saturday, keep twirling in style!

Love, Emma xoxo
