This week I'm taking you with me on a journey of tutus, theatre, and trés chic Parisian style. I'm so excited to be in Paris - this city just oozes elegance and romance, two things that go hand in hand with a perfect pink tutu, wouldn't you agree?
Now, let me rewind for a moment… I’ve always wanted to travel to Paris, so I planned this trip for ages! And for the first time, I’m finally here, sharing my pink tutu adventures with you all! To reach this magical city, I took a delightful train journey on the Eurostar from my home in Derbyshire. Nothing beats that journey through the Channel Tunnel - a touch of mystery and elegance - perfect for getting the creative juices flowing for the Parisian escapade.
For me, getting to Paris was only the first chapter in my journey – and this Saturday was all about immersing myself in the rich, theatrical culture of Paris. Now, you know my motto is “every day's a dance!” So, I started my morning by finding the closest ballet school - where else, right? I just had to experience a Parisian ballet class! My tutus twirled with such joy as I joined a group of enthusiastic ballerinas. Their passion was contagious, and my own pirouettes felt like pure Parisian poetry!
After a morning of graceful spins, I traded my pointe shoes for my favourite pink tutu, a shimmering satin confection adorned with the cutest sequined bow, of course! My afternoon was dedicated to experiencing the magic of the Parisian stage. Today was particularly exciting - the incredible Théâtre du Châtelet was hosting a stunning performance of "Swan Lake". I practically flew through the streets, my heart pounding with excitement as I made my way to the iconic theatre. The grandeur of the building almost took my breath away – this is what ballet dreams are made of! I absolutely fell in love with the intricate costumes, the graceful movements of the dancers, and the stunning choreography that transported me to a world of swan feathers and prince charm.
The theatre wasn’t the only stop on my pink tutu adventure though! Once the ballet ended, I embarked on a shopping expedition in search of Parisian elegance for my very own pink tutu wardrobe. A little black dress? Check! A luxurious silk scarf? Absolutely! You just can't leave Paris without a touch of “je ne sais quoi.” My favourite part of Parisian shopping is how the city embodies so many different styles, from quirky boutiques in the Marais to designer names on the Champs-Élysées - and everywhere, there's a shop dedicated to ballet costumes. And let’s be honest, can we really call it a trip to Paris without indulging in a delicious, macaron-filled afternoon tea at a charming cafe? You bet! I had to get a photograph for the gram in a pretty pink tutu while indulging in Parisian decadence!
