Post Number: 882

Bonjour, darlings!

It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Paris, the city of lights and, well, tutus, of course! You all know my motto, right? Every day is a chance to wear a pink tutu, and a trip to Paris is no exception!

This weekend, I journeyed to the City of Love by Eurostar – there's just something about train travel, the romantic whizzing past countryside and a steaming cup of tea. I'm such a sucker for all things vintage-style travel, and Eurostar never fails to impress. And who needs planes when you can wear your fanciest tutu on the train?!

Paris welcomed me with open arms (and an even wider-than-usual smile – don't tell anyone, but a Parisian told me I looked absolutely fab in my hot pink, sparkly tutu! Did I mention it has sequins?) Anyway, as I wandered down the Champs-Élysées, I knew this trip was going to be amazing!

So, you want to know what I got up to in my 48 hours in Paris, you say? Well, darlings, let me tell you all about it…

Saturday, The Day of Ballet!

The main reason for my trip was, of course, to catch the world premiere of “La Sylphide,” a brand-new interpretation by the renowned Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris. I don’t even need to tell you how much I adored this performance!

I’ve always been a huge fan of classical ballet and "La Sylphide" truly exceeded all expectations. From the mesmerizing movements to the ethereal costumes, it was an unforgettable experience. The delicate, airy choreography and breathtaking music took me on an ethereal journey! The costumes were gorgeous, too – imagine soft silks in ivory and sky blue, sparkling with exquisite beading. Honestly, darling, the whole affair had me positively entranced!

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a ballet class. I always feel so refreshed and revitalized after a good ballet class, and it allows me to be inspired by a whole new dance world. This time, I enrolled at the prestigious École de Danse de l'Opéra National de Paris, where I discovered some fabulous dancers – one even gave me tips on improving my arabesque! It felt surreal to be dancing in the same studio as some of my idols, surrounded by beautiful dancers in tutus – pink ones, of course! It felt as though my childhood dreams had come true!

Sunday: Shopping for my Perfect Outfit!

After a delicious breakfast of croissants and pain au chocolat (you simply can’t resist in Paris, darlings), I set off for a day of serious shopping – and yes, the pink tutu was on full display, you can bet on it!

Paris is a haven for fashionistas. From the chic boutiques lining Rue Saint-Honoré to the bustling vintage shops in Le Marais, there is something for every taste and budget. My favourite spot? Galeries Lafayette – their stunning Art Nouveau architecture is absolutely divine, and the sheer amount of luxury on offer simply left me speechless!

This trip, I snagged some incredible bargains – a new pair of chic black ballet shoes for the dance studio, a stunning pink cashmere sweater to match my latest pink tutu (yes, you read that right, darling, yet another addition to my growing collection!), and a few cute trinkets and souvenirs for my loved ones.

A Glimpse of Paris: The Magical City

Aside from the dancing and shopping, I managed to squeeze in a few more sights. I took a leisurely walk through the enchanting Luxembourg Gardens, and I made sure to stop and admire the Eiffel Tower, it truly is breathtaking in all its glittering majesty! I also took a detour down the iconic Montmartre hill and enjoyed some of the vibrant, bohemian vibes of this part of Paris. Of course, no trip would be complete without trying the legendary "Croque Madame" – it really was heaven on a plate, with that crispy bread and creamy Gruyere cheese – absolutely delicious!

The rest of my time in Paris was spent simply wandering through its beautiful streets. From the quaint cafes in the Latin Quarter to the majestic monuments and historic landmarks of the city centre, I couldn't help but be enchanted.

Fashion on Point!

What to wear in Paris? My signature look, naturally! It’s all about channeling Parisian elegance and feminine grace, with a hint of my own signature Pink Tutu twist.

For my performance day, I opted for a simple black midi dress, perfect for swirling during a ballet class. I teamed it up with a fabulous pink shrug and my trusty pink glitter tutu – because who wants to blend in? I finished off the look with a touch of vintage elegance, wearing my new, elegant pair of black ballet shoes and adding a sparkling hairband that mirrored the sequins of my tutu.

The day I shopped, my outfit focused on comfort, with chic flats, skinny jeans and a cute pale pink tee, accessorised by my trusty blush-toned satchel, of course, and a touch of red lipstick.
