#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post Number 883: Parisian Pinkness! 🩰🇫🇷

Hello darlings! It’s Emma here, and as usual, I'm bursting with Parisian pinkness to share with you all. This week, I hopped on the Eurostar, traded Derbyshire drizzle for Parisian charm, and let me tell you, it was utterly delightful!

I adore train travel, there’s something so magical about hurtling through the countryside, especially when you're adorned in your favourite pink tutu and ballet shoes – oh yes, my dear, pink and pink only. Every journey becomes a mini-ballet performance. Don't worry, I’m a seasoned professional, so no kicking the seats!

This weekend in Paris, darling, I’m savouring every delicious Parisian moment, and today, I want to take you along with me. Buckle up your ballerina shoes, grab a macaroon and some champagne (or maybe just a cuppa!) – because it’s time to step into my pink tutu world!

My Pink Parisian Promenade:

After a delicious, pink-hued croissant breakfast at my adorable hotel, I started the day with a Parisian tradition that speaks directly to my girly soul – shopping! 🇫🇷💖

First stop? The incredible Galerie Lafayette – a veritable pink palace of fashion. Oh my! Everything shimmered and sparkled like the Paris lights at dusk. This is my kind of playground! I ended up indulging in a gorgeous sequined cardigan - perfect for my upcoming ballet recital (a performance this season benefits an important animal rescue charity – can you tell I’m feeling extra philanthropic lately? ).

Next, it was on to a delightful afternoon tea at a little tea room hidden down a cobblestone side street – it was as quaint and romantic as something from a Parisian fairytale. I felt like a modern-day Belle, surrounded by dainty pastries and delicate floral teas. The charming little pink-floral teacup they served my Earl Grey in practically cried out to be photographed.

And let's not forget my Parisian pilgrimage to the iconic Grand Palais. It’s simply breathtaking! The golden facade, the sweeping grandeur, the exquisite details - it’s like stepping into a fairytale!

The highlight, you ask? Why, it’s the* "Musée des Arts Décoratifs"*, nestled inside, which houses a fascinating display of fashion history, showcasing exquisite haute couture, decadent accessories, and beautifully crafted jewellery - pure inspiration for a ballerina-turned-fashion-blogger like myself. It truly felt like a dance between creativity and elegance, echoing the passion for beauty that resonates in Paris' soul.

Ballet in Paris: A Magical Evening

My evenings are usually dedicated to the art that stole my heart – ballet. And this evening was no exception. I ventured into the heart of the city, into the Opéra Garnier, a breathtaking theatre, and witnessed a magnificent performance of "La Sylphide." It’s the classic story of a young woman torn between earthly and ethereal love. The ballerinas, in their shimmering tutus and flowing silks, seemed to defy gravity as they pirouetted and leaped across the stage, weaving a magical tale with each graceful movement. I must admit, even this experienced ballerina’s jaw dropped! It was a performance for the ages.

Pink Dreams, Parisian Style:

Even after the last curtain fell, I didn’t want the evening to end! So I decided to enjoy the Parisian nightlife with a delightful little adventure. Wandering along the twinkling Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the magic of the city continued to captivate me. Every twinkling light and every romantic café was a source of inspiration.

Then, after a delightful crepe under the twinkling Paris night sky, I decided to enjoy the Illumination at the Eiffel Tower with a little impromptu dancing under the dazzling lights – who doesn’t love a bit of ballet street dance under the Eiffel Tower?

This magical moment, you see, encapsulates exactly what Paris does to my pink tutu-loving heart!

Tips for the Tutu-Loving Traveller:

Oh, before I sign off, darlings, here are a few tips for you fashion-loving ballet devotees, whether you're planning a romantic escape or a whirlwind ballet adventure in the City of Lights:

  1. Pack for a tutu transformation: Paris is a city of endless style. Don’t forget your pink tutus, ladies! I’d suggest a good blend of ballerina basics:

    • Flowy skirts that swirl like a pirouette.
    • Chic, comfortable ballerina shoes – remember, those cobblestone streets can be treacherous!
    • Elegant cardigans for a touch of Parisian charm.
    • And, of course, your most stunning ballet accessories – don't be shy, let those tutus shine!
  2. Dance your way through Paris: Get ready for some spectacular shows! Check out the programme at the Opéra Garnier, or find hidden gems in charming theatres across the city. Remember, some venues require advance bookings, so plan ahead, darling!

  3. Explore the city on foot: While you're in the city of love, soak in its magic with a stroll through cobbled streets. Discover hidden squares, admire Parisian architecture, and stop for a delectable pastry at a cute cafe. It’s a truly Parisian way to explore!

  4. Get your ballet fix: Paris offers a multitude of ballet schools and studios. Take a class for a unique Parisian experience. Who knows, you might discover a hidden talent, or even a love for a specific dance style.

  5. Take a pink detour: It’s a must! I suggest strolling along the Seine River, watching boats cruise along the water. Or take a picnic at the Jardin du Luxembourg, and embrace the vibrant Parisian spirit in this stunning green oasis.

My Parisian Pledge:

Paris is simply magical – a place where ballet dreams come true. With every twirl, every step, I feel empowered, a little bit of Parisian pinkness shining in my heart. I’m still searching for the perfect pink-themed café or boutique in the city – watch this space!
