Pink Tutu Paris - Post #887: A Christmas Day Ballet Dream in Paris
Bonjour mes amies!
The EuroStar sped us through the English countryside and then over the Channel to the City of Lights. It was such an exciting journey! I love the feeling of leaving Derbyshire behind, with its rolling green hills and charming stone cottages, and arriving in the magical world of Paris. The anticipation and excitement always starts the moment I set foot on the EuroStar, a mix of holiday cheer, Paris fashion inspiration, and that sweet, intoxicating feeling of adventure.
This Saturday, 24th December, was especially magical as it marked the beginning of my Parisian Christmas adventure! And you know me, dear readers, anything can be an adventure when you have a pink tutu! Today was all about a mix of exploring the beautiful Parisian Christmas markets, taking in the twinkling lights, and getting ready for an evening of pure Parisian magic: ballet.
Pink Tutu and Parisian Christmas Magic
After stepping off the EuroStar and greeting the hustle and bustle of Gare du Nord, I knew it was time to embrace the Parisian spirit of festive joie de vivre! First stop, the famous Christmas markets near the Eiffel Tower! With my pink tutu twirling ever so slightly in the crisp Parisian air, I made my way through the magical streets, taking in the scent of freshly baked pastries and roasted chestnuts. Every corner was an explosion of colour and warmth – think twinkly lights, wooden stalls overflowing with festive trinkets, and those irresistible little French hot chocolate stands. It truly was a scene out of a festive postcard!
A Day Filled With Parisian Flair
My wanderlust was fully satisfied, and the tutu was feeling the Parisian breeze, so next up – shopping! Who can resist a little French fashion inspiration? I spent the afternoon indulging in a touch of Parisian flair – beautiful blouses, vintage hats, and a charming little pink bag (a necessity, of course, for a true Pink Tutu Parisian!) This is where my favourite part of traveling comes in - being a ballet performer, I know the importance of stunning costumes and exquisite dance wear. And in Paris? Well, my dear friends, it’s truly a paradise for those with a passion for elegance and fashion.
The Christmas Magic of Ballet in Paris
Now, nothing could have made this Christmas Day in Paris more perfect than a breathtaking ballet performance. It was at the beautiful Palais Garnier, and the magic just took my breath away. Seeing the ornate architecture, the hushed anticipation in the air, and feeling the sheer energy from the dancers, it was an experience that warmed my heart. It truly was the perfect blend of elegance, tradition, and a reminder of why I absolutely love ballet!
The Pink Tutu Paris Promise
And the most amazing part? While watching those graceful ballerinas, the thought crossed my mind, "Why shouldn’t every girl, every woman, get to experience the feeling of a pink tutu, of confidence, and of freedom? Maybe Paris was giving me a little inspiration? And that, my dear friends, is what fuels my pink tutu passion. It’s all about finding that spark inside us, letting it shine bright, and twirling with joy in the face of every challenge life throws our way. And hey, maybe that includes embracing a little pink in your wardrobe!
So here’s to Christmas in Paris, a city filled with so much magic and wonder. And here’s to all of you, wherever you are, may your holidays be filled with joy, laughter, and, of course, a little sprinkle of pink tutu magic.
Don't forget to join me next Saturday, as we explore even more Parisian gems. A demain!
