Pink Tutu Paris: #939 - Oh, là là! Parisian Dreams 🩰🇫🇷

Bonjour, mes amies! It's Emma, back from a whirlwind weekend in the City of Lights, and oh, it was utterly divine! This Saturday, the 23rd of December, I donned my favourite pink tutu and hopped onto the Eurostar with a heart full of anticipation. A girl's gotta get her dose of Paris, right? Especially when the twinkling Christmas lights start popping up in every window.

A Whirlwind Journey by Train

The Eurostar journey is always an experience. Watching the English countryside give way to the French, feeling the subtle shift from our quintessentially British calm to the passionate, vibrant French air - it's truly enchanting! This time, I decided to treat myself to first class, because why not? With its plush seats and ample space to admire the scenery, I felt like a Parisian princess, only with a pink tutu.

Arriving in Style

The Gare du Nord in Paris was buzzing with the anticipation of the holiday season. The scent of croissants and freshly baked bread wafted through the air, and the festive lights seemed to twinkle in perfect synchronisation with my tutu. The first thing I did? Whirl around to the rhythm of the joyous chaos, feeling like the belle of the ball. You see, my goal is to get everyone in a pink tutu, and Paris felt like the perfect stage for this mission.

Ballet Dreams in the City of Lights

As a ballerina, the ballet scene in Paris is something I've dreamt about since I was a child, pirouetting around the living room in my tiny pink tutu. I wasn't disappointed! Paris Opera Ballet, with its grand history and world-renowned dancers, felt like stepping into a storybook. The way the dancers glided across the stage, the delicate music swirling around us, and the hushed reverence of the audience…it was a magical evening. Afterwards, I enjoyed a celebratory glass of champagne at a quaint café, gazing at the twinkling Eiffel Tower, and reflecting on the beauty of it all.

Fashionistas Paradise

After a ballet dream come true, it was time for the other love of my life – fashion! Paris, oh Paris, your streets are lined with couture houses, designer boutiques, and charming vintage shops – it's a treasure trove of stylish wonders. The colours, textures, and silhouettes of haute couture left me feeling inspired, and I found myself lost in a sea of silk scarves and French fashion.

A Pink Tutu in Every Corner

My mission to encourage the world to wear a pink tutu took centre stage throughout my adventure. A quick spin in the iconic Parisian courtyard, a photo-op with the Eiffel Tower in the backdrop, even a chat with a street vendor (who agreed to try one on after seeing my pink twirls!), each moment was a testament to the power of a tutu. It doesn't matter who you are or what you're doing, a pink tutu can add a dash of magic, joy, and just a touch of fabulousness to any situation.

Magical Moments

It wasn't all ballet and shopping, though. We visited the Sacré-Coeur, that dazzling white cathedral perched high on the hill, where I couldn't resist twirling a few times before the panoramic views of Paris. And let's not forget the deliciousness: Parisian pastries, pain au chocolat, creamy hot chocolate… every corner seemed to hold a culinary masterpiece. I swear, the food tasted even better with a pink tutu on.

A Parisian Farewell

Leaving Paris was always bittersweet. As the train carried me back to Derbyshire, my mind replayed the magical memories: the breathtaking architecture, the stunning ballet performance, the Parisian fashionistas, and my pink tutu adventure. Each moment was a reminder of the power of dreams and the joy of pursuing them.
