#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 946 - Saturday 2018-02-10: Exploring Parisian Dreams in Pink!

Bonjour mes amies! 🇫🇷 The Pink Tutu is back in Paris! As the Eurostar glided me through the countryside and into the heart of this magnificent city, I felt the familiar twinge of excitement - that sparkle of magic that only Paris can provide. I knew this trip would be extra special, because this time, I wasn’t just visiting to see a ballet or two. I was here for a whole weekend! A whole weekend of Parisian delights, fuelled by pink dreams and fuelled by my passion for the stage.

You know, I always say that life is too short to wear boring clothes, especially when you're in Paris! So, for this adventure, I packed a suitcase overflowing with all my favourite tutu styles – think blush pink, pale pink, hot pink, with a sprinkle of glitter for good measure. A pink tutu isn't just an outfit, you know, it’s a statement. A statement of confidence, fun, and a refusal to be anything but myself. And what better place to wear it than the city of lights, a place that embraces everything unique and vibrant!

So, without further ado, let's dive into my weekend escapades, starting with the first stop: a must-do for any ballet enthusiast, the Palais Garnier! This architectural masterpiece was simply breathtaking, all grandeur and sweeping staircases. I even caught a glimpse of the ornate theatre interior. It's not just any theatre; it's home to the legendary Paris Opera Ballet. The whole place practically hummed with the history of dancers and their passion for the art.

Speaking of passion, what's a Parisian escapade without some delightful shopping therapy? And what's shopping therapy without a whole lotta pink? I wandered through the beautiful boutiques of Le Marais, admiring the stunning Parisian fashion, but let me tell you, even among the chicest boutiques, my pink tutus really made a statement. A few stylish Parisians even complimented my look! My pink tutus were a conversation starter - a way of bringing a little bit of my Derbyshire charm into the sophisticated streets of Paris.

After all that exploring and shopping, I was in need of a Parisian treat. So, I sat down at a little café tucked away in a quaint side street and enjoyed the quintessential Parisian experience – a croissant with a cafe au lait and a slice of delicate cake. Every bite tasted like pure Parisian luxury.

Of course, a ballet performance was on the agenda. This weekend, I had the immense pleasure of attending the *Paris Opera Ballet's production of "Giselle." * A beautiful performance of classic ballet which showcased such grace and talent! You could truly see why the Paris Opera Ballet is considered one of the best in the world! The artistry, the costumes, the emotions - everything felt like a perfect embodiment of the passion I hold for the stage. I just had to share it with you!

Now, one thing you know about me is I adore the train. So, travelling back to the UK wasn't just a journey, it was an experience. The Eurostar glided me through the beautiful landscapes, and I soaked in the last of my Parisian memories, already scheming for my next adventure in the City of Lights! This trip reminded me why Paris is so special: the culture, the fashion, the theatre, and, most importantly, the endless possibilities. Paris never fails to ignite a spark in my heart and a spring in my step!

So, I leave you with this: Embrace your unique style, wear your colours with pride, and don't be afraid to add a little sparkle to your life. A little pink never hurt anyone, right? ;)

See you all next week with more adventures!

Love, Emma xx

P.S For those who are just starting their own pink tutu journey, I wanted to share a few quick tips for finding the perfect pink tutu! * First and foremost, choose the shade of pink that best represents you. Pink comes in so many beautiful hues: bubblegum pink, pastel pink, hot pink, and everything in between. * Second, consider your desired level of poufy. Do you want a billowy ballerina style? Or something a little more minimalist? There’s a perfect tutu out there for every occasion, you just have to find it! * Don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun! There are so many different styles of tutus out there, and the beauty is you can always dress it up or down depending on your mood.

Remember, you can rock a pink tutu anywhere – be it a ballet class, a shopping spree, or even just a casual coffee with friends! 😉

P.P.S. Have you got any ideas for a future blog post? I love to hear from you! Leave me a comment and let me know what you’d like me to blog about!
