#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2018-07-14 Exploring Paris

Bonjour mes chéries!

Well, the train journey is finally over, and I’m finally in Paris! I can barely contain my excitement - I absolutely love Paris. It's like stepping into a beautiful fairytale. The city just has this magical feel about it, especially in summer when it's filled with the scents of pastries and flowers, and the streets are alive with laughter and chatter.

This week’s trip was extra special as I was travelling by Eurostar, which I have to say is the best way to get to Paris. You just settle down in your plush seat, watch a bit of Netflix and before you know it you’re pulling into the Gare du Nord. And, of course, I had to make sure my travelling outfit was perfectly pink and tutu-tastic, as per usual! I opted for my blush pink tutu, a cute little white crop top with a lace bow detail, and my favourite pair of sparkly pink trainers. I mean, how else would I strut my stuff through the Parisian streets? I felt like a real-life pink princess!

So, what’s on the agenda for my Parisian escapade this week? Well, you know I love to squeeze as much as I can into my time here. The list is long, but includes lots of exciting things! Let’s just say it’s going to be filled with beaucoup pink!

Firstly, there’s the must-see ballet performance at the Opera Garnier on Tuesday night. Le Lac des Cygnes - the swan lake, what a masterpiece! And yes, I've already got a show-stopping, feather-light, pink tulle skirt to match the theme perfectly, just wait for my #PinkTutuBlogParis Insta story on the night. I'm hoping to capture some fabulous pictures to inspire all my lovely tutu followers back home!

Let’s talk shopping, and who better than me to discuss the glorious Parisian shops. You just can't come to Paris without experiencing the beautiful boutiques! And who knows, maybe I’ll find a little pink treasure, something that whispers Emma, Emma, you need me! Maybe a tutu or two for my collection, a little Parisian pink number, something to give my tutu wardrobe a French makeover. I'm definitely hitting up the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps for inspiration.

I'm always on the hunt for unique items to add to my wardrobe, and Paris never fails to deliver! I've got my eye on a stunning blush-pink silk scarf with a delicate lace trim, the perfect accessory to complete any Parisian look. You just know it will be my signature look for this week’s photos!

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the city's incredible ballet studios. Parisian ballerinas are world-renowned, so I’m really hoping I can get a spot in a few classes! My dance cardio routine could definitely benefit from some French flair. I know I’m going to get totally inspired! And it will mean I can fit more delicious Parisian pastries and baguettes into my daily routine, I mean, every good dancer needs fuel for their energy levels, don't you think?!

Also, I have my trusty trusty ballet flat shoes at the ready for strolling through the streets of Paris. Nothing better for exploring the hidden alleyways and soaking up the city's charm. Think of the Instagram-worthy shots, every corner, every flower stall will be bursting with colour!

Speaking of fuel, food is one of the major highlights of Paris! I'm absolutely dying to try all the pastries and macarons. My ultimate goal is to conquer the best boulangerie in town - my inner foodie is totally going to get a workout. Oh, and let's not forget the incredible French cuisine. Paris is a culinary dream come true. There will be some serious Instagram pictures on the pinktutu.com website showcasing my gastronomic discoveries - and you know my tastebuds are looking for something extra special - think foie gras, steak, creme brulee, delicious cocktails and all those classic Parisian treats. I might have to wear a larger tutu to accommodate this gastronomic feast. I'm aiming for a daily, "eat-sleep-shop-dance" lifestyle. I think the perfect combination of Paris magic.

So there you have it. My Paris itinerary. All planned to the last Parisian croissant. And it goes without saying, my suitcase is brimming with tutus for every occasion. I am obsessed with tutus. And I think every girl, every woman in the world needs a tutu in her life, so it’s time to unleash the tutu revolution in the city of romance! Imagine Paris in pink. Just picture it. Parisiennes walking to work in tutus. It would be just too lovely! I'm going to be on the lookout for other tutu wearers – after all, who wouldn't love a tutu in Paris?

This week’s blog post is about making everyone see the beauty and the sheer fun of a tutu. You don't need to be a ballerina to wear one, just a little confidence! Think about it. It's an instant mood-booster. Every step, every twirl is filled with happiness!
