Pink Tutu Travels: Paris - A City of Romance and Rosy Dreams! (Post #971)

Bonjour from the City of Lights! This week, your favourite pink-tutu-clad adventurer is in Paris, the most romantic city in the world. Imagine my joy, skipping through the cobbled streets in my favourite, fluffy, blush pink tutu!

For those of you new to my little blog corner of the internet (Welcome!), let me introduce myself - I’m Emma, a twenty-something ballerina from the rolling green hills of Derbyshire. Now, if you know me, you’ll know pink and tutus are like, my thing. Like, it's basically my mission statement: get everyone wearing a pink tutu, because life’s just more fun with a bit of sparkle! And what better place to spread my love of pink and twirls than in the beautiful, elegant capital of France?

Eurostar – The Fairy Tale Train

As a true travel lover, the journey is as important as the destination! I embarked on my Paris adventure from London's St. Pancras Station, the beautiful gothic building a fitting send-off for any whimsical traveller. The Eurostar – that sleek silver bullet speeding through the English Channel – was a magical experience, with comfy seats, and those little individual TVs. It really did feel like travelling in a fairy tale.

Paris! Oh, Paris!

Arriving in the Gare du Nord, I was instantly captivated by the French energy: the scent of croissants in the air, the cobblestone streets, the little shops overflowing with pretty things, and everyone seeming so effortlessly chic. Paris has this way of making you feel like you’re in a film, even with the hustle and bustle!

Fashion in the City of Lights

No trip to Paris would be complete without exploring the legendary fashion scene. From the grand department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, to the vintage boutiques hidden in charming alleyways, Paris is a haven for those who love to dress up! I managed to snag a divine vintage fur stole in a soft lilac shade (it wouldn’t be right to leave Paris without at least one fur!), and, naturally, I had to buy a little something pink. It was a little frilly, silk blouse that I can already picture looking utterly perfect with a ballerina skirt for my next performance.

Dinner and Dreams of Dancing

The evening found me indulging in a Parisian dinner ritual - a delectable meal at a small, atmospheric restaurant with tiny, candlelit tables. It was one of those experiences where you’re surrounded by the beauty and the energy of a city like Paris, you’re savouring delicious food and excellent wine, and the whole thing just feels magical. And, it goes without saying, that I’m dreaming of ballet tonight - I just know there’s something magical in the air!

What I'm up to This Weekend...

I’m getting a real taste of the Parisian life. On Saturday morning, I'm treating myself to an indulgent pampering session at one of the beautiful spa’s in the city. After all, what could be better than a little bubble bath after a day of Parisian explorations?

In the afternoon, it’s a much-anticipated trip to the stunning Palais Garnier, one of the most opulent theatres in the world. To say I’m excited for a ballet performance there is a huge understatement - it’s basically my dream come true!

Of course, I can’t resist spending Sunday at a street market - a perfect opportunity to get a glimpse into the Parisian way of life. It'll also be a great chance to see the city in a different light! Plus, you never know what treasures I might discover!

My Pink Tutu Tips

And, because I want everyone to get the most out of their Parisian adventure, here’s a few Pink Tutu Tips for the perfect Parisian experience:

  • Embrace the magic! Take a stroll along the Seine, admire the Eiffel Tower, and allow yourself to get swept away by the city’s enchanting atmosphere.
  • Go where the locals go! Try the cafes, explore the hidden corners, and soak up the Parisian rhythm of life. You might be surprised by the places you discover.
  • Try everything! There's no better way to immerse yourself in a culture than to try new things - indulge in French pastries, go shopping for something chic, or take a ballet class! You never know what will surprise you!

Keep following my Parisian adventures on www.pink-tutu.com. Until next Saturday, remember to always find a little magic in your everyday and, of course, embrace your inner pink-tutu-clad adventurer! Bisous, mes amies!
