#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2018-11-24 Exploring Paris

Bonjour mes chéries! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, here, bringing you all the fabulous Parisian delights from this weekend's adventures! The Eurostar whisked me away on Thursday (such a comfy way to travel, highly recommended!), and I've been twirling around the City of Lights ever since. Paris, you are simply magical!

This week's post is extra special. Not only is it a day late (oops, got caught up in the whirl of Parisian shopping), but I’m bursting with exciting things to tell you all about my weekend so far! From ballet brilliance to breathtaking views, my Parisian pink-tutu adventure has been nothing short of fabulous.

This Saturday, I ventured to the Opéra Garnier for the most spectacular performance of Swan Lake. Oh, my goodness, it was breathtaking! The dancers were simply magnificent, each movement telling a story. The set, costumes, and lighting – everything was just divine! I sat there, utterly captivated, feeling every nuance of the ballet. I felt like a princess transported to a magical realm! Even my tutu was shimmering with excitement – it's almost as though it had a little ballerina heart beating beneath its layers of pink tulle!

Afterwards, I took a walk along the Champs-Élysées, soaking in the glamorous atmosphere. It's quite amazing how even the pavements here feel elegant, don't you think? It was the perfect opportunity to admire the stunning architecture, and let's be honest, find the most fabulous Parisian street performers, who always add that touch of Parisian magic to every outing. There was a charming group of dancers on the street - think street ballet with a twist of sassy - absolutely brilliant, it had my heart leaping in my chest.

Of course, no Parisian trip is complete without a spot of shopping, right? So after the ballet, I indulged in a little retail therapy at a delightful boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. I simply had to snag myself a pair of chic ballerina flats - oh, you know, just a small treat to reward myself for a wonderful day. And you've never seen such darling little French tutus – I had to add one to my collection, even if it meant having to pack my luggage carefully (and that's saying something, because we all know that even the smallest pink tutu can make for an overstuffed suitcase).

Sunday morning started with a delightful French breakfast in a cosy little cafe overlooking the Seine. The aroma of fresh bread and coffee filled the air – heavenly! And let's not forget the flaky pastries! I couldn't resist picking up a couple of delectable treats for later.

I’m absolutely obsessed with Paris! I love how everything is so beautifully ornate, with so much history tucked into every corner. The French love for art and fashion definitely influences every detail of Parisian life. Just watching people on the street is so stylish! You feel so utterly glamorous as you stroll down the streets in your pink tutu. It feels right in Paris – it’s like wearing a tiny ballet dress and enjoying a front row seat to this enchanting city.

I must mention, the ballet lessons in Paris have been simply delightful! I had an amazing class in Montmartre yesterday. I always say, practice makes perfect. The tutors are incredibly talented and patient, and I'm loving getting to know this different style of ballet. I feel like my pink tutu is positively blossoming under the Parisian sun.

You know, there's something really special about Paris. It makes you feel alive and vibrant. The city whispers secrets on the breeze and the beautiful cobbled streets inspire a thousand dreams. I truly feel inspired and full of hope here – hope that everyone in the world will someday embrace their inner ballerina and don a pink tutu.
