#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #986)

Bonjour mes amies!

It's Saturday, and you know what that means? A brand new Pink Tutu Blog Paris post, straight from the heart of this incredible city!

This week, I traded in my usual Derbyshire cobbled streets for the iconic cobblestones of Paris. I took the Eurostar, which, if you haven't tried it, is an absolute dream! So smooth, so comfy, and such beautiful countryside views zipping past the window.

Of course, I wouldn't dream of leaving the house without my trusty pink tutu! It always brings a smile to people's faces, and this week it's been turning heads in the most charming of French ways. I mean, who doesn't love a touch of whimsy, even in a city as sophisticated as Paris?

Today, I'm going to give you a glimpse into my whirlwind Saturday here in the capital of fashion and love.

The Opéra Garnier - Ballet Bliss!

Firstly, I headed to the Opéra Garnier – a truly awe-inspiring venue. Talk about grand! The architecture, the sheer size of the space, it just takes your breath away. I felt like I'd stepped into a fairytale. Of course, my reason for being there was the ballet. And it was truly exceptional.

This week's performance featured a classic piece – Swan Lake – and the dancers were so graceful and talented, it literally made my jaw drop. They were moving with such fluidity and grace, every gesture so eloquent. I even shed a tear at the emotional scenes. The tutus were divine – each one a piece of art in itself. I'd happily wear each and every one. And to think, this was all happening right in front of me, live. Pure magic!

Le Marais – A Chic Promenade

After my ballet immersion, it was time for some serious Parisian shopping! I spent the afternoon exploring the streets of Le Marais – such a vibrant area with boutique shops, cafes, and charming little cobbled streets. I even found a tiny bakery tucked away in a quiet corner. I treated myself to a flaky croissant and the most delicate macaron I've ever tasted. Pure Parisian bliss!

A Toast to Pink at the Eiffel Tower

As the sun started to set, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink, I knew just the place to be: the Eiffel Tower. The view was breathtaking. The twinkling lights of Paris stretched out before me, each street a tiny gem against the velvet backdrop of night. It was magical!

I sat there, savouring the moment, with a glass of bubbly in hand (you gotta be chic!), thinking about how lucky I am to be here in this beautiful city, sharing my love for all things pink and beautiful with all of you.

Pink Tutu Tips for Paris

For all my fellow tutus lovers who are dreaming of a Parisian escapade, here's a little something to get you started:

  • Bring a pink tutu, of course! You can’t go wrong with a pink tutu, ever, in Paris.
  • Embrace the metro. Paris' underground is efficient and an essential part of navigating the city. Embrace it like a Parisian!
  • Dress for the occasion. Paris is all about looking and feeling chic, so be sure to pack outfits that reflect that.
  • Explore! Get lost in the streets, discover hidden corners, and experience the magic of this iconic city.

I hope this little peek into my Paris adventure has inspired you! If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing the City of Lights, do it! You won’t regret it.

Until next Saturday, keep on twirling and remember: you're never too old to wear a pink tutu!

With love and twirls,

Emma

P.S. If you're ever in Paris and happen to see a pink tutu fluttering around, it might just be me. Come say hello! And remember, Pink is the New Black!
