Bonjour mes amis! This is post number 985 for my Paris blog, and this week's adventure has me feeling utterly giddy. I'm finally back in the City of Lights! It's a dream come true, and of course, my trusty pink tutu is firmly tucked into my luggage, ready for a whirlwind tour of Parisian delights.
EuroStar Chic: I love the elegance and efficiency of train travel. Especially with a little pink tutu magic to spruce up the journey. This time, I boarded the Eurostar from London to Paris feeling like a princess en route to a grand ball! It's so fun to dress up in your favourite outfit and soak in the glamorous surroundings of a train carriage while rushing towards your destination.
Pink Tutu and the Palais Garnier: Of course, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without a ballet performance at the legendary Palais Garnier! As a ballerina at heart, the thought of seeing the exquisite choreography in this iconic venue made my heart flutter with anticipation.
This Saturday, 10th November, was a particularly exciting date because the Garnier is hosting a special gala celebrating the legacy of the renowned choreographer Maurice Béjart! 🩰 His works are known for their passionate expression and innovative storytelling. I was mesmerized by the power and emotion of the dancers, and I'm still getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Watching ballet in a place that exudes so much history and culture was truly awe-inspiring.
From Stage to Streets:
After the captivating performance, I had to hit the streets of Paris for some post-ballet indulgence! Nothing quite beats a delicious macaron from Ladurée after an evening of graceful dance. Paris is simply irresistible. The elegant boulevards, the cobbled side streets, and the endless array of chic boutiques just call to be explored! I love getting lost in the beauty of the city, watching life unfold, and snapping some stunning shots of my outfit in front of picturesque backdrops.
Shopping Spree with a Tutu Twist:
The Parisian fashion scene is simply divine. I love how effortless the French style is - a perfect mix of chic and casual. And of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without a trip to the Champs-Élysées. The air buzzes with a glamorous energy, and the shop windows are filled with tempting treasures that I just had to explore! 🛍️
From vintage boutiques to designer labels, I was determined to find the perfect Parisian pieces to compliment my pink tutu and add a touch of French flair to my wardrobe. You can't go wrong with classic French style – elegant black coats, flowing skirts, delicate scarves, and maybe a touch of glitter, always have a place in my suitcase. And of course, a pair of red shoes for a bit of playful charm, à la "Pretty Woman" style!
A Culinary Adventure:
My tummy was rumbling, so it was time for a Parisian dinner. I settled on a charming little bistro with an inviting menu filled with classic French cuisine. Nothing beats a hearty pot au feu on a crisp autumn evening, followed by a heavenly chocolate mousse for dessert. 😋 It was the perfect way to round off my magical day!
Embracing the "Pink Tutu" Lifestyle
Paris has a way of making me feel alive. It's a city that inspires me, makes me want to twirl and twirl until my feet touch the clouds! But more importantly, it reinforces my mission to spread the magic of the "pink tutu" to everyone, everywhere.
I've always believed that embracing colour, wearing pink tutus and enjoying life with a sense of joyful creativity is the key to happiness. Each new day is an opportunity to wear our own pink tutus – it could be a metaphorical pink tutu or a literal one – a tutu dress, a statement scarf, anything that adds a sprinkle of vibrant joy to your day.
